My Dad MELINDA STEENKEN AND MICHAEL ROPCHOCK III William Steenken Jr. of Easton and Teresa Steenken of Ingleside have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Ann Steenken, to Michael Stephen Ropchock III, son of Sandra and the late Michael Ropchock II of St. Michaels. Ms.

Steenken attended Easton High School. She is a homemaker. Mr. Ropchock attended St. Michaels High School.

He is employed as the manager of Good Time Charlies. A Sept. 28, 2008 wedding is planned. Steenken-Ropchock DOUGLAS ENDZEL AND AMY LEONARD David and Sandra Leonard of Preston and Brian and Susan Endzel of Trappe have announced the engagement of their children, Amy Leonard and Douglas Endzel, both of Easton. Ms.

Leonard is a graduate of Easton High School. She is employed at Easton Physical Therapy. Mr. Endzel is a graduate of Easton High School, He is a self- employed landscaper. A June 28, 2008 wedding is planned at Grace Lutheran Church.

Leonard- Endzel RAYMOND MILLS JR. AND BROOKE KRONNER Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kronner Jr. of Snow Hill have announced the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Katherine Kronner of Federalsburg, to Raymond Jack Mills son of Raymond Jack Mills Sr.

of Cambridge and Mary Linda Mills of Federalsburg. Ms. Kronner is a 1996 graduate of Snow Hill High School, a 2001 graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education, and a 2008 graduate of Walden University with a Master of Education degree in elementary reading and literacy. She is employed as a music teacher at Chapel District Elementary School in Cordova. Mr.

Mills is a 1991 graduate of Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg. He is the owner and operator of Jack Mills Excavating in Federalsburg. A Nov. 22, 2008 wedding is planned at Trinity United Methodist Church in Newark. Kronner-Mills MR.

AND MRS. SHAWN MOORE Megan Schwencer and Shawn Moore were married March 29, 2008, at Beaches Negril in Negril, Jamaica. The bride is the daughter of Rick and Jackie Schwencer of Owings. The groom is the son of Janet Moore and the late Pete Moore of Trappe. The intimate ceremony took place on the beach at 4 p.m.

Maid of honor was Lauren Schwencer, sister of the bride. Flower girl was Ava Moore, niece of the groom. Best man was Scott Moore, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was Conner Moore, son of the groom. Also present at the ceremony were the parents of the bride and groom, Heather Moore, sister-in-law of the groom, and Hunter Moore, nephew of the groom.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony on the beach. The bride and groom honeymooned at the Sandals Negril for an additional seven days. Schwencer-Moore SEEBODE Midshipman Andrew Seebode of Trappe has received a Gold Star at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. for academic achievement during the second term in the winter of 2007-08 Seebode is the son of Ed and Alama Seebode and is a graduate of Easton High School.

He was nominated to the Academy by former Maryland Senator Paul S. Sarbanes. LINDSAY Navy Ensign Nicholas B. Lindsay recently reported for duty with Training Air Wing Two Naval Station in Kingsville, Texas. A 2003 graduate of Broadneck Senior High School in Annapolis, he is the son of Melanie Ulrich of Denton and Robin Lindsay of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Lindsay is a 2007 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree. FREDERICK Robert Frederick of Cambridge was recently promoted from private first class to specialist. Currently stationed in Baghdad, Iraq, Frederick is a member of the Maryland National Guard 290th Military Police Company. He works full-time as an Honor Guard with the the Maryland National Guard in Easton when he is not deployed.

Frederick is the son of Karen Frederick of Hurlock and Ronald Frederick of Cambridge. BUTZ Cadet Miles William Butz of Easton, son of Mr. and Mrs. George William Butz, graduated on May 3 from the Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

FRITZ U.S. Navy Ensign Ty T. Fritz, son of Dr. Richard Fritz and Suzanne Sanders, graduated May 23 from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S.

Navy. Fritz received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in economics. Following graduation, Fritz has been assigned to lead summer seminar, a live-in camp to introduce the Academy experience to interested high school students. He then will proceed to Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Fla. where he will train to become a Navy pilot.

Fritz was the 2004 valedictorian at Easton High School. ROBERT FREDERICK TY FRITZ HOLSINGER Allison Holsinger of Denton has been named to the list for the winter 2008 term at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y. A business administration and political science major, she is the daughter of Dr. Rowland Holsinger and Patricia Higgins. She is a member of the class of 2010.

CLAGGETT Laura Claggett of Easton has been named to the honor roll and head of list at George School in Newtown, Pa. for the second term of the 2007-08 school year. CHADWICK Senior art major Ashleigh E. Chadwick had her art purchased for Bridgewater permanent collection with the Paul M. and Betty Kline Student Art Purchase Award.

The art chosen was her digital image from her Centralia, Pa. project. A 2004 graduate of North Caroline High School, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Chadwick of Greensboro.

MURRAY Keontae Murray, daughter of Roland and Gladys Murray of Royal Oak, has been named to the list for the spring 2008 semester at Wesley College in Dover, Del. where she will enter her junior year this fall. She is majoring in liberal studies. SCHLOTTERBECK Hollyann Schlotterbeck of Stevensville has been selected for membership into the National Society of High School Scholars. She is a student at Kent Island High School in Stevensville..
