Brides are also bringing everything, as far as stationery, throughout the entire wedding, beginning with the save the date cards right down to the menu cards, using the exact same stationary," she said. The drive for uniqueness doesn't stop with bridesmaids' gowns and invitations. In fact, said New Paltz-based wedding photographer Hen-drick Moy of Hendrick Moy photography, this year's brides have an increasing willingness to personalize many aspects of their weddings with do-it-yourself touches. "Budget-conscious and tech-savvy brides, are now finding ways to stand out from their friends using websites like Etsy, and inspiration boards like Pinterest, in creating their own personal flavors for their weddings," he said, adding, "From humorous cake-toppers, creative party favors or centerpiece lighting, to a special dance down the aisle or at the reception, more and more couples want to create a fresh experience for their guests rather than blend into the typical weddings that we've all been a part of." Stark said personalized candy bars are still popular as wedding favors, but another trend is to do a milk and cookie stand at the end when guests are leaving.

"They actually get a little milk carton, like you did in school, and choco late chip cookies. We always have the caterers bake them an hour before the guests leave, so they can smell them. I've always been the type of person who said anything edible as a favor is perfect. You'll never leave the wedding without it," she said. What's new in ceremonies?
