SHORE Mr. Kevin N. Bagwell Kevin N. Bagwell, 58, husband of Mary E. Bagwell and a resident of Onancock, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Riverside Shore ehab, Parksley.

orn in Onancock, Mr. agwell was the son of Dorothy Bagwell and the late Thomas Bagwell. He was a produce truck driver. Afuneral service was held at Mt. Nebo Baptist hurch, Onancock, on Saturday, July 4, at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Martin Bundick officiated. Interment was in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Onancock. Other than his wife and mother, Mr.

Bagwell is survived by a daughter, Marcie W. White; children, Shericora Bagwell, Tanhia Bagwell and Monique West; step-children, Larry Hijii and Meosha Bagwell; sisters, Beverly Bagwell, Tobitha Lee and Juanita Yarrell; brothers, Robert, Micheal, Donald and Tommy agwell; and 16 grand- hildren. arnes George Raymond Barnes, 84, a longtime resident of New Church, ied on Thursday, July 2, 2 015, at Riverside Nurs- i ng Home, in Parksley. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Raymond E. Barnes a nd Dorothy J. Barnes on uly 25, 1930. He was a aithful member at Berea UMC in New Church.

George never married, but is survived by his many fire department, and church friends. eorge lived in Pennsylvania until he was in is early 20s. He then moved with his family to New Church. George worked at Southern States in New Church for many years, serving customers with a warm greeting and friendly mile. He had two great loves; the New Church Volunteer Fire Department and Berea UMC.

He served oth for over 60 years. George served as the Fire Department Secretary a nd was very proud and dedicated to his position. It has been said that if a nyone coughed or sneezed it was recorded in the meeting minutes. George tried to answer all fire calls, riding his bike to the fire house, often beating those who responded by car. The fire de- artment created an annual award presented as the Barnes A honoring George for his many years of service.

second love was Berea UMC, and was afaithful member for 60 years. George rang the church bell each Sunday, inviting all to come to the church. He was in charge of posting the hymns and etting up the for the orship Service. George oved the Lord, and was a reat witness. childlike inn ocence was heartwarm- i ng.

He had, an enormous love for everyone. When ealth problems necessitated he moved into Rivers ide Rehab, formerly Shore Life. He adjusted uickly to his new home. eorge was lovingly referred to as the He played his ymns in the activity room entertaining the oth- residents. When a hurch choir visited the nursing home, he found his way to the front and sang with them.

He also loved bingo and was a regular participant. George was respected by members of the fire department and Berea church. They showed their love by their visits a nd bringing him to vents at both places. eorge will be missed by his caregivers at Riverside, the New Church Fire Department, the church, and all those whose lives he touched. Thank you George for being the per- on, God created you to be.

Funeral service was held on Monday, July 6, at Berea United Methodist Church, New Church, at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Arum Kim officiating. Interment was at Cemetery, New Church. Local arranagements made by Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville. Mrs.

Althea W. Fosque Althea W. Fosque, 80, wife of the late Gardner osque Sr. and a resident Horntown, died ednesday, July 1, 2015, at her residence. Born in Accomack County, Mrs.

Fosque was he daughter of the late annon and Ella Towns end. She was disabled, and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Horntown. A funeral service was held at Tabernacle Baptist hurch, Horntown, on Sunday, July 5, at 1p.m. he Rev. Dr.

Mrs. Fosque is sur- ived by her daughters, arline Drummond, Lillie yrd, Martina Marshall and Sandra Fosque; sons, Mannon Fosque, Gardner Fosque, Maurice Fosque a nd George Townsend; isters, Annie Mae Jenk ins, Roxie Morris, Lillie Davis and Hazel Marshall; brothers, Oscar, Clarence and James Townsend; special friends, Dorothy Cropper a nd Albert Johnson; 22 grandchildren; and 33 reat-grandchildren. Mr. Edward L. Gibbons Edward Lee Gibbons assed away early Friday morning, July 3, 2015, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. He was 82 years old and was a ember of Halls Chapel hurch. Born in Southside hesconnessex on Aug.

24, 1932, he was the oldest child of the late John Braden Gibbons Sr. and Myrtle Spence Gibbons. He married the love of his life, Louetta Godwin Gibbons, in 1957. They shared 5 8 happy years together i Sanford, and enjoyed he love and life of two aughters, five grandchild ren and seven great- randchildren. A fter they were moved from their longtime home i Sanford by Hurricane Sandy, they lived i Melfa with their daughter and son-in-law, Tamm and Ron Matthews.

In between, he raised chickens, perfected his boat building abilities at Chris Craft and furthered his carpentry skills with J. Roland Dashiell Sons. He returned to work the waters of the Pocomoke Sound and focused on his boat building in 1976. He eventually reluctantly turned to a fiber- lass skiff, but always pulled his peeler pots by hand. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family, fishing, steaming crabs, telling jokes, square dancing, traveling abit, experimenting in the kitchen and building models of his workboats. He also enjoyed learning about nearly anything, but in particular investing, the environment, extreme fishing and anything to do with NASCAR and Professional Wrestling. Other than his parents, was predeceased by his ldest daughter, Diana ibbons Bonniwell; his mother-in-law, Irene W.

Godwin; father-in-law, John Nathan Godwin; rother, Dickie Gibbons; ister-in-law, Peggy G. iller and her husband, Melvin; and four brothers-in-law, Johnny Godwin and his wife Margie, A ndrew Parks, Ronnie Whitmore and Olin ears. In addition to his wife, is survived by his daughter, Tammy Gibbons Matthews and her husband, Ron Matthews of Melfa; son-in-law eade Bonniwell of Quin- a brother, Johnny B. Gibbons Jr. and his wife, Rosemary, of Bloxom; a sister, Lois Ann Mears of nancock; four sisters-in- aw, Milicent Gibbons of loxom, Roberta Chance and her husband, Eddie, of Sanford, Ann Pruitt and her husband, Johnny, of Pocomoke City, Maryland, and Sylvia Whit- ore of Smithfield, Virginia; grandchildren and reat-grandchildren, Christy L.

Baylis, her partner Shawn Gaston, their son Aiden and his daughter Shanon of Edinburgh, Virginia, Cindy L. Daniels, her husband, Brian, of Blacksburg, irginia, their children, Connor and Caitlin, Connie L. Cooper, her husband, Skyy, and their daughter, Elyana, of hristiansburg, Virginia, Ashleigh M. Miller, her husband, Matthew, and heir sons, Brayden and Liam, of Pikeville, North Carolina, and Justin E. atthews of Onancock, his wife, Brittany, and their daughter, Mayson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted from the graveside at the Wacha- reague Cemetery on Monday, July 6, at 11a.m., with Pastor Freddie Ward fficiating. Mr. Royce L. Jones Royce Lee Jones, 79, of Chincoteague Island, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. He was born on Chincoteague Island on ay 1, 1936 the late Herman and iriam (Clark) Jones. He was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, where he erved as deacon, usher, a nd trustee.

He also was a ember of Accomack Lodge He retired from the United States Coast Guard after 20 ears of service. Mr. Charles W. Parks Jr. Charles Willis Parks 57, resident of Slidell, Louisiana, formerly of the astern Shore, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at his residence. orn June 13, 1958 in Nassawadox, and eared in Harborton, he is the son of Charles Willis arks and Sandra Parks of Painter.

Mr. Parks was a longtime waterman. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion, Debra Beck of Slidell; two daughters, Brittney Parks of Harborton, and Ashley Hopkins of Onancock; two broth- rs, Jerry Parks of Midd letown, Connecticut, and ichard Parks of Parksley; a step-sister, Danette Conway; a step-brother, George Whipple, both of Salisbury, Maryland; three grandchildren, Gaven, Kayley, and Cameron opkins; one uncle; and several nieces and nephews. She was a domestic laborer, and a member of Macedonia AME Church, Accomac.
