The daughter of Earle and Sarah (Everingham) Blickenstaff was born May 11, 1923 in Breckenridge, Colo. Her father, being a mining engineer in her youth, led her family to many old mining towns of the west to include the old ghost town of Bodie, now a state park.

Her high school years were present in part at AVJUHS in Lancaster, Calif. She attended one year at Antelope Jr. College before entering the University of Southern California School Of Pharmacy. Her junior year she married Conrad C. Johnson, Lieutenant Army Air Corps.

Later another overseas tour was spent in Germany during the middle and Bobbie enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. In fact she enjoyed travelling anywhere, anytime.

When Conrad retired from the service in 1962 they moved to Buffalo, Mo. and lived there while building their home near Urbana, Mo. Because money was so short in retirement, Roberta happily sold World Book Encyclopedia until she took the Missouri Pharmacy Board. After obtaining her Missouri Pharmacy License she substituted for pharmacists in many towns in the area. Because of health problems she retired in 1989.

In the she was member of Opera Guild. She and her husband were lifelong opera enthusiasts. When in Germany they attended the Wagnerian Opera Festival. She was an active member of the Urbana United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her Savior and attributed Him for the wonderful life she had.
