The property is zoned Central Business property at 450 Church Street NE on the market. The bus company's departure might be a chance to redevelop a building that has seen better days. Greyhound's real estate includes a bus terminal, a nail salon, and an empty foot space that had been a restaurant and bar many years ago. The asking price: $965,000 "Greyhound is not in the business of holding outdated for Greyhound's needs, he said.

One offer, made by a prospective buyer who wants to redevelop the site for office space, has been made on the property, Rhoten said. The offer is still being considered. Rhoten declined to identify the interested party. He noted that the single-story building, built in 1948, needs renovations, including a new roof and an upgrade of its heating and cooling sys eventually plans to move its operations to the baggage depot. But work on the baggage depot, which is owned by the Oregon Department of Transportation, isn't expected to be going full-swing until this summer and could take 18 months to complete, said a state spokeswoman.
