Irene Patricia Cackowski, 81, of Smithville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on June 30, 2015. Pat was bo rn on September 10, 1933, in Hoboken to John and Lore tta (Fendly) Butler. Pat found the love of her life, Walter S. Cackowski, and married him on June 16, 1956. Pat and Wally even- tua lly moved to Carteret, where they raised their six ch ildren.

Pat worked for 20 years at Bankers Savings in Perth Amboy, retiring as a Senior Vice President. Pat and Wally retired to Four Seasons at Smithville where they lived many happy years traveling and making new friends. Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter sons, Walter (Dianna) and Michael (Kelly), dau ghters, Diane Wood, Linda (Billy) Maher and Susan (Kelli) Cackowski. She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen (Thomas) Grace. Sh is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Thomas, Lauren (Steve), Troy, Lance, Michael (Nicole), Danielle (Michael), Amelia, Kenny, Co lin and Brian, and ve great-grandchildren, Jada, Ju liana, Michael, Anthony and Joseph.

Pa was a wonderful mother, volunteering in her schools and PTA, helping her children when they had their children and always being a loving, caring wife, mother and grand- mot her. Visitation was held on July 2 at Wimberg Funeral Home, Galloway. Funeral Mass was celebrated on July 3 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Cat holic Church in Absecon. Interment was private.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Joseph Wagner parents, Vito and Marianina (Calabrese) Ciccone; sister, Josephine (John) Narducci; and brother, Jerry (Mildred) Ciccone.

Marie leaves behind seven children, Jane Reina (Robert) of Denver, Susan Wagner-White (Edwin) of Galloway, Victoria Wagner of Chestnut Hill, Joseph Wagner Jr. (Lori) of Delmar, N.Y., Paul Wagner (Jana) of David Wagner (Victoria) of Burlington and Miriam Wagner-Elton (Steven) of Cape Charles, Va. Marie is also survived by her sister, Gloria Farrell (John) of Barnegat, 16 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, she was active in her church as a Eucharistic minister, lecturer, CCD instructor, and ministered in the Prison Rosary Group. She retired to upstate New York for 20 years and was a member of the Sacandage Garden Club, enjoyed ceramics and art in every form.

The Wagner family would like to thank staff at Woodview Estates, Absecon Manor, Byrun Hall and Dr. Jeffrey Gong for their care and compassion over the past several years. A Mass of Christian was celebrated on June 29 at the Church of the Assumption, Galloway. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing at a later date.
