and Mrs. Everett Vaughn Robbins, Balmville, has selected Saturday, Aug. 26, as the date for her marriage to William Cyrus Morehouse. He is the son of Mrs. Guy W.

Morehouse, 5 Oak Crescent, and the late Mr. Morehouse. The wedding ceremony is set for 3 o'clock in Trinity Methodist church, Newburgh. Miss Robbins has chosen as her. only attendent, Miss Carol Munson, Newburgh, who will serve as maid of honor.

Pelston Christopher officiated. Decorations were in gladioli. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chase a ballerina length gown of white imported organdy over white, faille taffeta. It was trimmed embroidered organdy. She wore a shoulder length circular vell caught to a cap of embroidered organdy and carried a colonial bouquet of gardenias.

Mrs. Schwanke, serving as her only attendant, wore a gown identical to the bride's, only in pink. Her half hat was pink taffeta and she carried colonial bouquet of pale pink roses and white asters. Mrs. Cushman selected for her daughter's marriage, a floral print volle dress.

She wore a corsage of white gladioli. Richard Schwanke, Oak Park, was the best man. A reception was held at the 'Schwanke home immediately after the ceremony. After a wedding trip, will live in Hayward, Wis. For traveling the bride wore a light blue print dress, white hat and navy accessories.

Mrs. Thorne attended Poughkeepsie 'High school and was graduated from Cambridge High Latin school. She also was graduated from the University of Massachusetts, class of '48. The bridegroom 1s an alumnus of Saugus High school and the University of Massachusetts, class of '49. He received his Master's degree in Forestry from Duke university this, the year.

Plantinga departed for an extended wedding trip to California. They will visit the former's grandmother, Mrs. Philip Jacobe in Claremont, Cal. Upon return, the coupte will reside in New York City. The bride was graduated from Vassar college, class of '45.

Mr. Plantinga is an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Rensselaer Polytechnic institute. A member of the Delta Phi fraternity, the MIT club and the American Society Engineers, bridegroom is associated with the engineering firm Meyers, Strong and Jones, New York City, Attending the wedding from Poughkeepsie were Mr. and Mrs. Young and the bridegroom's brother, Pierre Plantinga.

Phyllis Lints To Become Bride Miss Phyllis Louise Lints, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Lints, Hempstead, L. has chosen Saturday, Aug.

The -tobe now is attending graduate school at the University of Illinois. Life Memberships Held In State Garden Club Three members of the Third Distriet of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State have vecome life members of the Federation. They are Mrs. Chester McCaban. Red Hook; Mrs.

F. Palmer Hart, Red Hook, and Mrs. G. Irving Titus, The Membership committee is the newest one formed 'by the Federation and is comprised at present of 67-mimbers. It was formed for friendly social contact with the hope of inspiring others to join and, in that way, to increase the Life Membership fund.

Fees from life memberships shall be deposited in permanent special fund and the interest derived therefrom used solely to provide such awards scholarships as the Federation may elect to bestow.
