operating for private profit. are going about the country organizing trade campaigns in various communities, soliciting funds from citizens and merchants ostensibly to be used to cover the expenses of trade stimulation campaigns in those conimunities. "The arguments employed by these promoters in the solicitation of funds, SO closely parallel the "Buy Now" appeals of the government, employed in the Recovery campagn, that strong implication is created that these efforts are made under the auspices of the government. "It should be known that the government has not designated to any individual or corporations authority to promote such campaigns under the auspices of the Recovery movement." WILLIFORD IS ARRESTED J. "If this be treason-" An attempt at humor at the expense of leaders of the recent rump convention has been indulged in by our little contemporary. Mayo is not the right man for this place. We are convinced that the will of the majority of the people was thwarted by his re election. Furthermore, we, ourselves, feel that we are in a measure responsible for his re-election because we started the fight after the cards had already been stacked. Meanwhile, we will continue to struggle along with the same democratic chairman that the rest of you have..
