Grandma Hump b.3& Helen Brusie Hutchinson MILLBROOK Helen Brusie Hutchinson, 100, resident of The Fountains at Mill brook for fifteen years and formerly of Millerton, NY for eighty years passed away peacefully Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Daughter of the late Orrin and Bertha Brusie, she was bom December 28, 1906 at the family farm in Millerton.

She attended a ond room schoolhouse at White House Crossing near her home until eighth grade and then Millerton High School. During WWII, she was a plane spotter in Boston Corners and served as a nurse's aide at Sharon Hospital. Helen was a proud member of the Millerton Methodist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher there. As an avid fromemaker, she loved to cook and garden at her home at Elm Glen Farm. She loved to take' care of children and was one of the founders and first director of the Millerton Day Care Center.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Clarence "Jaclc' Barreto and second husband, Alexander Hutchinson and siblings, Ralph Eugene Brusie, Charles Wesley Brusie, Lucile I lutchinson and Beatrice Senior. Surviving are her daughter, Alyce Jane Senior and her daughter's partner, Elizabeth Whitman, of Pleasant Valley, NY, her adopted son, George "Skip" Senior and his wife, Barbara of EUenton, FL; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews and their extended families. She was also predeceased by her dear nieces, Pamela Senior Reed and Heather Hutchinson Hemer. She will be sincerely missed by all her Family and friends, including her very special caregivers who helped to make her last months so comfortable. A funeral service celebrating her life will beheld at the Valentine FUneral I lome, Park Millerton on Sat 00 am with Rev Herbert Day of the Millerton Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Irondale Cemetery, Millerton, when weather permits. Those who so desire may contribute in Helen's memory to the Millerton Day Care Center, Park St, Millerton, NY 12546. Born in Cold Spring, NY, on November 28, 1955, he was the son of RoocoV and Barbara Frcidmann Bettina, who preceded him In death. He was educated in Beacon schools. He was formerly employed by the City of Beacon School System. Hewas a member of the Dutchess County Umpires Association, Chelsea Fire Department, Protection Engine Co, Flshkill, and was a Beacon Babe Ruth League coach with the Beacon Recreation Commission.

He was an avid Yankee fan. Mr. Bettina is survived by his stepmother. Celeste Bettina, Pleasant Valley, his brother, Richard Bettina and his wife, Ann, Hopkinton, MA, and their children, Andrew, Arrp; and Alex; his brother, Michael Bettina and his wife, Elcni, Poughkeepsie, and their children, Marisa, Alexandra, and Anthony, his aunt and uncle, Frank and Helen Bettina, Chelsea; his aunt, Joan McSweeney, State of VU ginia; and many cousins. Sarito C. "Sandy" Garufi Sr. HOPEWELL JUNCTION Santo C. "Sandy" Garufi 78, a nine year resident of Hopewell Junction, NY, and a previous longtime resident of Mamaroneck and New Rochelle, NY, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Mr.

He was married to Rosemarie Alberico Garufi, his loving wife of 58 years. Mrs. Garufi survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Santo C.

PLEASANT VALLEY C. George Browcr, "Popcorn GG, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Valley died Monday, March 19, 2007 at his home after a brave and courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was lovingly cared for at home by his family and friends. Mr. Browcr was employed by Norki Energy Systems in Poughkeepsie prior to his illness.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Valley. Bom in Sharon, CT on June 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Clayton Edward Brower and Dorcas Honour Brower who resides In Hyde Park. AftcY graduating from Arlington High School he joined the Air Force and served 4 years. He then signed on with the US Navy Sea Bee Reserves, retiring after 28 years of service. On May 28, 1965 at Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, George married Joyce Purdy.

Mrs Brower survives at home. George had a great love for people and spent many years with his antique popcorn wagons at fairs, flea markets and car shows. I le was one of the original members of the Century Museum Village demonstrating with his collection of old time antique engines and other collectibles. I le also loved collecting music boxes and carousel items, traveling around the country to many meets. Wheels were his passion and he loved restoring old cars.

We would like to thank his many friends from the car community who have supported us during George's illness. In addition to his wife Joyce and mother Dorcas, George is survived by his son Jeff, daughter in law Aimee and the light of his life, granddaughter Isabella all of San sisters, Kathy Blackwell and husband Rory of Hyde Park and Nancy Henegel and husband Melt of Florida; brothers, David Brower of and Peter and his wife Gayle pf Pleasant Valley, mother in law, Anne Purdy of Pleasant Valley; sister in law, Ida Mikula and husband Mike of Pleasant Valley, and brother in law, Edward Purdy and wife Carole of OK George was able to experience some wonderful adventuresinterests with his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday 4 8 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St, Pleasant Valley. FUneral services will be held Friday 11 am from Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, Main St, Pleasant Valley. He wasamembcrof their Century Club. An active member of his community, Mr. Sigrist was a lifetime member of the Rhinebcck Fire Company and the Montgomery Post 429 American Legion in Rhinebeck. He was member and former council member of Third Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rluncbcck. He also served on the Rhinebeck Village Planning Board and the Village Zoning Board of Appeals.

He served In the United States Navy during World War II. Born on August 24, 1920, In Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Alexander and Elma Sigrist Warren married Ruth Quick on July 20th, 1947 in Pleasant Valley, NY. Ruth predeceased him on September 6, 1988. Survived by a daughter Barbara Sigrist of Hyde Park, a son: Warren Sigrist II of Rhincbeck, a sister Judy McMichael of Rhincbeck, a grandson: Jeffrey Sigrist, a granddaughter Stephanie R. Sigrist and a friend, Janet Cotting.

Weir WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY Dorothy Weir, of Wappingers Falls, devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away' Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 91. She was born January 31, 19 16, in Yonkers! New York.

Mrs. Weir and her husband had been residents of this area since 1971. Dorothy had been employed as a sales associate at Flah's Department Store in Poughkeepsie for many years and enjoyed knitting, baking and most doing things for her faro ily. They will miss her deeply. On April 19, 1934, at Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, Dorothy married her loving husband and best friend, Albert C.

Weir, Sr. Mr. Weir predeceased her on December 13, 2005. She is survived by her son, Al Weir and his wife, Cathy, of Glenham; her daughter, Elaine Walsh and her husband Frank, of Wappingers Falls; nine adoring grandchildren, Ken, Bob, Michael, Diane, Laura, Kathy, Tommy and Timmy, fourteen greatgrandchildren and one nephew also survive. He was 91. He attended local grade and high schools and graduated in 1939 from Columbia University with a degreo In optics and optometry After grad uaUon he returned to Poughkeepsie and joined his father, A. Wesley Triller, in a family practice, I Ic retired in 1997. He had many diverse interests from growing roses and collecting clocks to sailing and playing tennis. 1 le was a lifetime member of the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club.

He was also an avid Yankees fan. Mr. Triller is survived by his vifo of sixty four years, Eleanor, and three children, Sarah Dowd (Thomas) of St Louis, MO; Candace Cashman (Thomas) of Concord, MA; and James Coleman Triller, Jr. (Linda Pratt) of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Two children, Bruce H. Triller and Hollace Triller Page, predeceased him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 568 Violet Ave, Hyde Park, NY 125381821. D'Amato EAST FISHKILL Margaret D. D'Amato, 92, a 30 year resident of Hopewell Junction and formerly of the Bronx, died on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Bom on December 7, 1914 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Jack and Winifred Cashin. She was the owner and operator pf Marge Carol's Luncheonette in the Bronx for 25 years before retiring in 1968. She was a parishioner of St Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.

On December 1, 1934 in the Bronx, she married John D'Amato who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughter, Carol Manno of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Paul, Gina and Lora Manno; and her greatgrandchildren, John Manno, Samantha Sneddon and Kaila Silvestri. He was a graduate of Highland High School. In addition to his father, he is sur vived by one son, Robert Phillips of Florida; one daughter, Sara Phillips of Maryland; three brothers, Patrick, Tracy and Brian Phillips, all of Highland, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
