2B Poughkeepsie Journal: Wednesday, August 9. 1989 Obituaries Mary C. Stortini HYDE PARK Mary C. Stortini, 91, a resident of the Victory Lake Nursing Home and the co-owner and operator of the Evergreen Farm in Poughkeepsie until her retirement in 1970, died Tuesday at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was an 80-year City of Poughkeepsie resident.

She was born Jan. 29, 1898, in Poughkeepsie, to Marcellino and Madalena DiCapua Orso. She attended St. Peter's Girls School in Poughkeepsie: On Sept. 28, 1924, in Poughkeepshe, she married Albert Stortini who died Feb.

16, 1976. Survivors: include two sons, Joseph Stortini and Anthony Stortini, both of Poughkeepsie; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, 218 Mill Poughkeepsie. Prayers will be said at 8 p.m.

Services will at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 at Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie. Ethel Sweeney AMENIA Ethel Sweeney, 92, dining room manager at the Milbrook Boys School until her retirement in 1948 and a lifelong local resident, died Monday at Sharon (Conn.) Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1897, in Newburgh, to Thomas 'and Mary Jane Seeley Sarvis. On Aug. 12, 1928, she married James Sweeney who died in May of 1953. June 25, 1918, she married her first husband, Thomas Dady who died in January of 1927. Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Dramis of Sarasota, four grandchildren; and several greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hufcut Funeral Home, Market Street, Dover Plains. A memorial mass will I be offered at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church in Dover Plains and services will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Keegan, 78, a bookkeeper at DeLaval Separator Company in Poughkeepsie for 34 years, died Monday at Lovely Hill Nursing Home in Pawling after a long illness. A lifelong local resident, she was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie. was born Jan. 26, 1911, in Sharon, to Michael P.

and Alice Fitzgibbons Brady. She attended Dover Plains High School and the former Eastman Business School in Pougkeepsie. In 1942, she married John Keegan who died in 1982. Survivors include a. brother, Bernard J.

Keegan of Dover Plains; a sister, Edna Gorman of Rhinebeck and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Hufcut Funeral Home, Market Street, Dover Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at St.

Funnell, 35, owner of The Music Lab in Poughquag and a local resident since 1976, died Sunday at the Plaza Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse after a long illness. Previously of Schenectady, he was an instrumental music instructor at Pawling High School for five years and composed and arranged secondary educational music. A local resident for 23 years, she was previously of Elmsford and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie. She was born March 6, 1935, in Tarrytown (Westchester County), to James E. and Adele Collins Hayes. Her mother survives in Westchester County.

She attended Westchester Community College. On Oct. 20, 1956, in Tarrytown, she married William C. Davis who survives at home. Other survivors include two sons, William Anthony Davis of Poughkeepsie and Mark A.

Davis of Brooklyn; a daughter, Denise Blakely of Austin, Texas; a sister, Adele Redd of Meherrin, Va. and three nephews. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Parmele Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Poughkeepsie. Prayers will be said at 8 during the calling hours.

She was born March 7, 1907, in Stockport (Columbia County), to Antonio and Antoinette Palermo Piro. In 1936, she married Raymond Laffin who died in 1959. Survivors include daughter, Carol Cecchini of Poughkeepsie; a Carmela Santopadre of Poughkeepsie; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home 218 Mill Poughkeepsie.

Andrew Todd Long Andrew Todd Long, 37, the owner and operator of Park Leigh Asso: ciates Inc. in Poughkeepsie and a 12- year City of Pougkeepsie resident, died Tuesday at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Pougkeepsie after a long illness. Previously of Rochester, he was on the board of trustees of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. He was born July 12, 1952, in Buffalo, to George and Betty Jane Wheeler Long who survive in Buffalo. He attended several universities and received a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and advertising.

Survivors include two sisters, Cynthia Wilt of Hong Kong and Diana Breault of Spokane, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 Carol Poughkeepsie with the Rev. Richard Witt officiating.

He was a member of the Esopus Volunteer Fire Department.
