She said rapid growth of the eastern part of the county will affect decisions about rail service there. Union Vale sets community fest NORTH CLOVE. Union Vale Community Day will be held Sunday featuring a flea market and chicken barbecue, a magician, blood pressure screening and finger printing of young children. The event will run from noon to p.m. at Tymor Park on Bruzgul Road.

The flea market sponsored by the Union Vale Historical Society will start at 10 a.m. The barbecue will be from 4 to 6 p.m. and will cost J6 for adults, $3 for children ages five through 12, and no charge for children under five. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Union Vale Town Hall The Dutchess County Sheriff's Department will fingerprint children and give the records to the parents in order to aid police If a child disappears. The event is free and will also feature pony game booths and square dancing demonstrations.

Chamber to aid two scholars Two seniors graduating from Wappingers schools will be awarded $500 scholarships tonight by the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce. Laurie Arent, of John Jay High School, and Nancy Ellen Wemmerus, of Roy C. Ketcham High School, will be honored at the dinner at the Villa Borghese In Wappingers Falls. The scholarships honor the mem ory of Norman Nussbickel.
