(Pookie) and Jeannie C. Ralph 'Dick' Alon 66, a longtime luehkccDsie resi dent and formerly of Las Vegas, died at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Alongi served in the VS.

Army and was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from IBM in 1995 as a project manager. A member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie, he received a degree from Manst College, and was an alumnus of the Mohegan Sun Poker Room in Connecticut Bom in Poughkeepsie on Mar. 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Carl Alongi, Sr.

and Theresa Pignone Alongi. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carl, Jr. He Is survived by his devoted wife, Joan Leonard Alongi; their four children, John and his wife, Lori, Mark, Anthony and his wife, Carolyn and his daughter, Ann Marie Kuhhom and her husband, Dave; six grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer, Briana, Matthew and Samantha Alongi and David Ralph Kuhhom; two sisters, Beatrice and husband, Francis Pomaricq, Sr. and Phyllis 'Chidde' Alongi; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all those friends who supported them through these trying times.

Mrs.

WJWtener was employed as an inspector for Chemprene in Beacon until her retirement ui 1998. A member of Star of Bethlehem Church in Beacon, she attended Fishkill and Beacon schools. Born in Fishkill on May 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Cabey Galloway, Sr. and Golden Johnson Galloway. Her husband, James Whitener, predeceased her.

Survivors include three sons, Edward Galloway of Beacon, John Galloway and his wife, Chrissy, also of Beacon and Steven Galloway of Poughkeepsie; three sisters, June Fleming artd Sylvia L. Jones, both of Beacon and Margaret Jones and her husband, Robert of Detroit a brother, Irving Galloway of Poughkeepsie; eight grandchildren, Natasha Galloway of Poughkeepsie, John Lyric, Jamond, and Demetrios Galloway and TJ Buckman, all of Beacon, and Steven Galloway, Jr. and Leah Galloway, both of Wappingers Falls; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Elijah Green of Poughkeepsie; one aunt, Dorothy Johnson of Highland Falls; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Cabey Galloway Jr, and a nephew, ShamelK. Price.

Allen Richard Culver WEST LAWRENCE, N.Y Allen Richard Culver, 83, of West'LawrenCe, N.Y, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at the Peninsula Hospital in West Lawrence. Priori to his retirement in "1984, Mr. Culver was a computer technical writer for Securities Industry Automation Corp.

Devin Jacob Friedman HOPEWELL JUNCTION Devin Jacob Friedman of Hopewell Junction, died on Monday, Aug, 18, 2003 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Poughkeepsie on Aug. 18, 2003, he was the son of David and Susan Vlsentin Friedman. His parents survive at home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Bret Adam Friedman, at home; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Deana Friedman of Wappingers Falls; and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Visentin of Wappingers Falls. Rineral services will be held privately.

Roehrs PSJEJl John Falconi, 81. loving husband and father, entered into eternal life on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003. Born in Brooklyn on Oct 23, 1921, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Margaret Garguiilo Falconi. When he was a young child, his family moved to Poughkeepsie where he resided for the rest of his lifetime.

He was educated at Poughkeepsie City Schools. Mr. Falconi served In the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War with the 34th Infantry Division, 133 Reg Co. A and was a Prisoner of War.

On Feb. 19, 1950 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie, he married Felicia Rose Calcnti. Mrs. Falconi survives at home. Mr.

Falconi was a dedicated member of Local 1000 Laborers Union where he worked as a financial secretary and field representative for Local 1000 Laborers Union for 30 years, retiring in 1986. A communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie, he was a member of VFW 170 Vail Wolfe McKenna Frye Post the Shamrock Club, and the Local 1000 Laborers Union. In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by his adoring children: son, John G. Falconi and wife, Mary, and daughters, Montelle Falconi and Nick Spano, Felicia Theysohn and husband, Thomas and Markie Ann Pot tenburgh, all of Poughkeepsie. He is also survived by a sister, Anita Ross and' husband, Ed; loving grandchildren, Falyn Falconi, Thomas Theysohn, Bailey Theysohn, Jeanine Bilyou, and Jason Bilyou; and great granddaughter, Ashleigh Marie, all of1 Poughkeepsie.

John's kind and loving ways endeared him to many as a father especially Mark and JoAnne, Mary, Candy and JoAnne and will be He was predeceased by two sisters, Edith Tkyzik and Rose Palumbo. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Naqbool Martuza, Sister Margaret and Sister Collette of Pastoral Care, and the staff at St Francis Hospital ICU, "who cared for him in his final days. Doughty, 77, a lifelong resident of Hopewell Junction, died at home on Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 alter a long illness.

She was employed as a technician at Plaza Pharmacy In Hopewell Junction for seven years until her retirement in 1996. Bom in EUenville, N.Y. on 2, 1926, she was the daughter of George and Nellie Lowe Hartclius. Survivors include a son, John Angelillo of Rockledge, a daughter, Bonnie Weaver of Hopewell Junction; two sisters, Marjone Hartelius and Dorothy Seism of Poughkeepsie; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. 23, 2003 at her daughter's home. A Florida resident since her retirement she also resided in Long Island. She was born in Johnstown, Pa. on Feb. 6, 1912.

On June 14, 1936, she married Gui do 'Guy' Costa in Bronx, N.Y Her loving husband of 64 years predeceased her. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Jean and Raymond Carr of Baldwin, N.Y. and Wanda and Vincent Molinaro of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Michael Carr and his wife, Ellen, Richard Molinaro and Eileen Molinaro; and two greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 25, at 11 am at St Mary's Church, Church St, Poughkeepsie.

Roehrs, 88, bom Emroy Bonita Car lough, died at home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 after what she said to be "a wonderful life." A resident of Clintondale since 1960, she previoush lived in Upper Saddle' River, J. She graduated from Connecticut College for Women and was president of the Class of 1937. After graduation, she took a teaching position in the English department at Ramsey High School in Ramsey, J. In I960, she purchased an apple farm in Clinton dale.

In addition to helping her husband run the lGO acre farm, she and her husband raised their four children. She also served as a substitute teacher at the campus school in New Paltz. An active member of the Reformed Church of New Paltz, she also belonged to the Connecticut College for Women Alumni Association, the PTSO of New Paltz and the Women's Study Club of New Paltz. She was a member of the New Paltz Garden Club, Chapter A of the PEO Sisterhood, and the Huguenot Historical Society, where she served as a tour guide. She belonged to various bridge groups and had a special interest in antiques and fine art She enjoyed her family, good friends, good times, and a good hand of bridge.

Born on May 1, 1915 in Upper Saddle River, she was the daughter of the late David James and Nanetta Gross Cariough. On July 27, 1940, she married Kurt H. Roehrs. Mr. Roehrs predeceased her on Dec.

31, 1978. She is survived by two daughters, Dorcas Roehrs Friedberg of Atlanta, Ga. and Cynthia Roehrs Barber of Middleburgh, N.Y; two sons, David Kurt Roehrs of New Paltz and Kurt S. Roehrs of Webster, a sister, Doris Cariough Lynch of Ramsey, six grandchildren, Pine, Jaime and Clinton Roehrs of New Paltz, and Grace, Ford and Elias Barber of Middleburgh, N.Y; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister; Evelyn Hig gins, and two brothers, James David Cariough and Clinton D.

Cariough. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 1 pm at the Reformed Church of New Paltz. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Church of New Paltz, the Clintondale Fire Department or to Hospice of Ulster and Dutchess Counties.

16, 1908, she was the daughter of Anton and Johanna Metzer Ollinger. On Apr. 14, 1926, she married George Repper in Schenectady. Mr. Repper predeceased her on Dec.

29, 1968. Survivors include a sister in law, Harriet Ollinger of Schenectady, two nieces, Sandra J. Brady and husband, of Poughkeepsie and Janet Robinson of Greenwich, one nephew, William Carruthers and wife, Linda, of Poughkeepsie; one grand niece; two grandnephews; one great grandnephew; and one great grand niece. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Stephania Robinson and Johanna Carruthers; three brothers, Anthony, William and Edward Ollinger, and a grandnephew, Craig Brady. There are no calling hours.
