Rte. 9. Hyde Park, NY I John J. Badami HYDE PARK John Badami, 76, a resident of Hyde Park, died on Sunday, August 5, 2001 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was employed as Stock Room Clerk for Mart in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1999.

He resided Hyde Park for year Prior to. that he was a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, formerly of New York City. He served in the United States Army during World War II, He was a loving, caring, genuine person, who will be greatly missed Born in Manhattan, on June'l8, 1925, he was the son of Joseph Vincent and Rosa Maria Bellaru Badami. He attended New York City Schools. He is by a Rosa Badami of, Florida and his longtime with whom he made his home, Rosalina Lopezand her family, Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 8, 2001 at I p.m., at Lloyd Cemetery, Highland, N.Y.

RHINEBECK Gladys Ross. 84, of Rhinebeck, NY, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved taking care of her family, died Tuesday, August 7, 2001, at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. "From 1946 until they closed their shop in 1986, Mrs.

Ross and her husband, Gordon E. Ross, owned and operated Ross' Welding in Rhinebeck She loved racing, and was well known among area race drivers and enthusiasts. An accomplished mechanic in her own right she built and raced stock cars for 26years. Born in pine Plains; NY on Dec, 11, 1916. she was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Knickerbocker Monll On Dec 17, 1934 at Poughkeepsie, NY, she married Gordon E.

Ross. In additipn to her husband, she is survived by a. daughter, Virginia von der Lieth of two sisters, Margaret Wilhoyte of Rhinebeck and Edith Woodward of Pine Plains, a granddaughter and her husband, Georgette V. and Lester Hall, a granddaughter, Gretchen von der Lieth, and a great grandson, Ryan Gordon Hall all of Rhinebeck. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Reifler was retired Vice President and Treasurer of Electra Supply Co. in Poughkeepsie. He was chairman of the poughkeepsie Golf Commission and was instrumental in building the McCann Golf Course jn Poughkeepsie. Mr.

Reifler was. a member, of the Jewish Community Center in Pough keepsie; Vassar Temple and the liar; ding Club. He was also past district governor arid, past president of the Poughkeepsie Rotary Club in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Reifler' served in the United States Army Aircorps during World War II.

He was a sergeant serving in the NorthAfrican Theater. Born May 2f 1922 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Samuel and Freida. Tarter Reifler, lie was a ate of Poughkeepsie High School and attended Cornell Unircrsity in Ithaca. On May 6, 1948 in' Ppughkeepsie. he niarried Selma (Saflj), Goldberg Reifler.

Mr. Morse was a member of Dutchess Co Board of Representatives from 1968 to 1969, he served as clerk from 1969 to 1976 and was acting County Executive in 1976, 1977 and 1978. He was also a member of the' Masonic Lodge and Amity Club He 'served on the Amenia Republic Committee and Board of Directors Rehab Programs Mr. Morse was an United States Navy Veteran of World War II from 1942 to 1946 arid served as coxswain aboard an aircraft earner.

He was a vestry member and warden at St. James Episcopal Church in Dover Plains. Bom Feb. 16, 1925 in Beacon, he was the son of William E. and Rachel Ott Morse.

He attended Beacon schools. In 1956t he married Yvonne Notting. ham. Mrs. Morse died July 3, 2001.

Survivors includetwo sons. Marine Maj. Louis J. Morse and his wife, Kim brly of jCarmel Valleyf Army Warrant Office Jesse Morse of Ft. Bennington, two daughters, Jane" Johnson and her husband, Robert of Green Bay, Morse ot Pawling; a sister, Helen Iannoneof.

Beacon; and several nieces and nephews. He recently made his home with his niece, Betty Rae Nittiskie and her husband, Stan and son, Jame, Conklin. He was also predeceased by brother, Raymond Morse.
