a 1. TWENTY-TWO POUGHKEEPSIE NEW YORKER WEDNESDAY. NOVEMBER 25, 1953 Ceremony Solemnized in LaGrangeville Miss Johnson's Marriage Announced Miss Izetta Delores Johnson. daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Thomas Mack Johnson, 107 Pine street, became the bride of Benjamin Bowman, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bowman, city, on Nov. .15. The ceremony took: place at 2 o'clock in the Ebenezer Baptist church, with the Rev.

Roger L. Douglas, pastor of the Central Baptist Clinton Corners, officiating. Mrs. Mattie M. Rose, organist, played the traditional wedding music and Mrs.

Daniel Mizzell, cousin of bride, was the soloist. Baskets white and the, pink snapdragons decorated the church. Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore gown of white nylon tulle and lace over satin, made with a strapless bodice, lace bolero Jacket with long pointed sleeves and a Peter Pan collar and a full ballerina length skirt of tulle. Her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to crown of lace trimmed with'se sequins and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Mrs; Robert Johnson, law of the bride, was the matron of honor.

She wore ballerina length gown of royal blue net over satin with matching stole. She wore matching floral headpiece and carried of yellow pom pons. The other attendants included Miss Frances Willis, Millbrook: Miss Mary Anderson and Miss Mae Douglas, City. Miss Willis wore an aqua gown with matching stole and carried a bouquet of orange pom Anderson pons. Miss similar Douglas and wore gowns of fushia and carried bouquets of pink pom pons.

The bride's mother chose for the wedding a sea green chiffon and velvet dress with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Robert VanDuzen served as the best man. Ushers were Douglas Hansen, Agusta Johnson and Franklin Gordon. After a reception the church dining room the couple left there for wedding trip to New York City. For traveling the bride brown suit with beige accessories and a corsage of yellow and white carnations.

Mrs. Bowman is a graduate of Poughkeepsie High school and Is employed by Vassar hospital. Mr. Bowman served two years in the Marine corps and is employed by the Keyes Motor Sales. Women of the Moose Plan for Party Dec.

7 Arrangements for the annual dinner and Christmas party of the Women of the Moose, Dec. 7, made at the chapter's recent meeting. chairman Mrs. of Nettie arrangements Cheeseman and is being assisted by Mrs. Clara KIllmer, Mrs.

Ruth Krezminski and Mrs. Margaret Burhans. Reservations are to made with Mrs. Killmer or Mrs. Burhans by Dec.

2. The chapter also made plans for Social Service Chapter night program Dec. 10, with Mrs. Betty Schattle chairman and Mrs. Florence Sutherland having charge of refreshments.

A delegation of members of the chapter will visit the United States Veterans' Administration facility, Castle Point, Sunday afternoon. The members will assemble at Moose temple at 2 o'clock. Members voted a contribution to the children's home. Committee chairmen who reported were Miss Joyce Kilmer, Miss Mary NeJame, Mrs. Clara McCagg.

Mrs. Stella Sentor and Miss Sandra Persons. Mrs. Ethel Taylor reported at a recent convocation in Rochester, where she received the "Green Beanie" of a graduate regent. Mrs.

Ruth Owen, reported on the luncheon which she attended in conjunction with the Infantile Paralysis drive. Mrs. Muriel Wixson was named chairman to arrange for the annual Christmas party for children. Dec. 27.

Mrs. Betty Schattle and Mrs. Emma Robinson were named to arrange for the presentation of basket to needy family for Thanksgiving. Hungarian Guild Plans for Bazaar Plans have been completed by members of the Women's guild of the Hungarian Reformed church for their annual Christma: bazaar on Nov. 28 and Dec.

5 in the auditorium of the church. On both Saturdays the bazaar opens at 2 o'clock. Serving on the bazaar committee are Mrs. Stephen Haydu. Mrs.

Julius Holhos, Mrs. John Lasko and Mrs. Joseph Laszlo. On both Saturday nights at 7:30 o'clock a program will be presented featuring two Hungarian-speaking motion pictures. On Nov.

28 "Danko Pista." be shown and on "The Tokaji Aszu," will be presented. Refreshments will be served by members of the guild. Clinton School PTA Has Panel Discussion Members of the Clinton school PTA sponsored a panel discussion at the school recently on the theme, "Language Arts, Reading. Writing and Spelling." Dr. Charles Kovacs made known that Mrs.

James K. Keeley will be chairman of the theater production this year. The next meeting of the association will be the annual Christmas meeting. 8 o'clock, Dec. 16.

Refreshments were served after the meeting under the chairmanship of Mrs. Bette Johnson and Mrs. Robert Hubbard. Lincoln Center Auction Scheduled Dee. 3 Thursday, Dec.

3. has been chosen for the annual auction at Lincoln center. It is being sponsored by, the center's board of directors and the Women's auxillary. The auction is at 10 o'clock and a cafeteria' luncheon is scheduled at 12:30. Mrs.

Lewis M. Shaw and Mrs. Raymond B. Schoonmaker are co-chairmen. PERSONAL MENTION Charles Hardaker, Red Oaks Mill, is cast in the role of King in a children's theater production of "Beauty and the Beast," at New Faltz State Teachers college.

Edward Grosenbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Grosenbeck, East Dorsey lane, who now siding in New Hartford, N. will be one of the guest speakers at the Syracuse Teachers' convention, in Syracuse this week, He is a teacher at the Holland-Patent High school.

He recently received his Master's degree at Syracuse and is a grad. of Middlebury college and Oswego Teachers' college. He is married and has one daughter, Greta Marie. Edwin Eckert, Violet avenue, Is patient In St. Francis' hospital he recently underwent an operation.

Mrs. Frank Merritt, 50 South avenue, Wappingers Falls, Is tient in Vassar hospital. Miss Dorothy J. Colville, Boston, niece of Mr. and Mrs.

W. Markie, 172 Mansion street, will spend' the holiday weekend here. Beginning with Dee. 1 through Jan. 9 there will be an exhibition of Cape Paintings by Lewis W.

Rubenstein at The Three Arts, 77 Cannon street. Gordon L. Kidd, son the Rev. and Mrs. Gordon L.

Kidd, Hyde Park, is registered for the fall term in Union college at Schenectady, A senior, he is enrolled a major in English. John Henry Woodin, Hopewell Junction, is a in Vassar hospital. Joseph Boucher, West Dorsey lane, Park, appears as the court dren's jester theater in the current production chit: "Beauty and the Beast." at New Paltz State Teachers college. Harold Litt, Roosevelt court, played on the Ithaca college junior varsity soccer team which recently completed its season. and Mrs. Orlando Van Wag. ner, Pleasant Valley, observed their 20th wedding anniversary yesterday. In honor of the occasion, dinner party took place last in the Pleasant Valley hotel. Mrs.

Van Wagner formerly was Miss Marion Carson. The couple was married in the Salt Point church manse by the Rev. Erle Clark, now of Pawling. They have three children, Mrs. Samuel Lindholm, Karen and Lanny Van Wagner, all of Pleasant Valley, and granddaughter, Freya Lee L.indholm.

Triangle Group Installs Supervisors Installation Mrs. William Harris and Mrs. Robley Ball as supervisors of Mid-Hudson Triangle, Daughters of the Order of the Eastern Star, took place at Monday night's meeting of the group, at Masonic temple. The members began preparations for Valentine party for residents of the Children's home, in February, as their charity project. The next meeting was planned for Dec.

14 at 7:30 o'clock. Mrs. Hazel Burnett Conducts Inspection Mrs. Hazel Burnett, this city, who is past county council president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries, recently conducted the annual inspection of the Hopewell Junction auxiliary. She accompanied by Mrs.

Irene Knickerbocker. Mrs. Mildred Beastmer reported on the recent County council meeting and plags, were made to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for a veteran's family. Mrs. Ruth Wright, hospital chairman, made known that books, puzzles and an electric clock had been presented to the United States Veterans' Administration facility, Point.

Mrs. Myra Ross, community service chairman, told of cards which had been presented to the Children's home and clothing and books that were provided for needy family. Plans were made for a Christmas party at the next meeting, when the members of the post and their families will be guests. Mrs. Mildred Beasimer will have charge of 'Christmas work of the auxiliary at veterans' hospitals.

COLORFUL AND Beta Eta Chapter Sponsors Dinner Members of Beta Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority had a progressive included dinner recently. Hostesses Mary Wermuth, Marion D'Luhosch, Beverly Miller and Margaret Steetzner. Among those attending were Margaret Cunningham, Eileen MeVeigh, Hutchings, Loretta Tobin, Mary Jane McKenna, Rosemarie Vitek, Florence Larkin, Joan McKenna, Barbara Lescak, Ida Mae Churchill, Patricia McDermott, Catherine Gasparo, Kathleen Carey, Mary Wermuth, Beverly Miller, Marion D'Luhosch, Margaret Stoetzner and Mary Maricone. 15. ceremony took place at 2 o'clock in the LaGrangeville Methodist church with the Rev. Charles Melano officiating. Mrs. Warren McKay, organist, played traditional wedding music and Miss Ursula Wroniecicz, soloist, sang.

"I Love You Truly" and "The Lord's PrayGiven in marriage by her mother, the bride wore gown which also was worn by her twin sister, Mrs. Charles Wickes. It was toned with a fitted bodice of white lace over satin, long pointed sleeves, Peter Pan collar and full skirt. Her fingertip "ell of lusion was caught to a -crown of seed pearls and she carried cascade bouquet of chrysanthemums. Mrs.

Wickes was her sister's matron of honor. She was attired in a white nylon net gown over taffeta made with strapless bodice, ballerina length skirt and matching stole. She carried a crescent bouquet of dark red pom pons and wore a matching headpiece. Miss Mary Ann Cross, sister the honor and bridegroom, Miss Nancy was the Ingalls, maid Bal- timore, was the junior bridesmaid. They were attired in white gowns made the same as the or attendant's.

They carried crescent bouquets of dark red pom pons and wore matching headpieces. Donald Bolton, New Erunswick. N. served as the best man. Ushering were Robert Cross, cousin of the bridegroom, and Louis Wright, both of LaGrangeville.

After the ceremony there was reception at the home of. the bridegroom's mot: er. The couple left there for a wedding trip South and now are residing in LaGrangeville. Mrs. Cross is a graduate of Arlington High school, class of '52; and is employed by IBM.

Mr. Cross is an alumnus. of Millbrook High school, '49 and is employed the Cross Orchards Storage Co. LaGrangeville. Heidie Club Members Plan Christmas Party Preparations for Christmas party, 28, at the home of Mrs.

Rose Speedling, 167 Thompson street, made when the Heidie club met Monday night at the home of Mrs. Sadie Weber, 23 Innis avenue. Mrs. Margaret Hawks will be the assisting hostess. Members will take 50c gifts for exchange.

Mrs. Elizabeth Beecher was the assisting hostess for the meeting. Mrs. Speedling was named chairman for the anniversary dinner of the club April 26, 1954. She will be assisted by Mrs.

Mary Keller and Mrs. Mary Anderson. Games were played after the meeting and favors awarded Mrs. Margaret Hawks, Speedling, Mrs. Jeanne Verven, Mrs.
