LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE State Engineer's Office Number of Application M-43-S, Santa Fe, N. May 25, 1956. Notice is hereby given that on the 25th day of May, 1956, in accordance with Chapter 131 of the Session Laws of 1931, Henry Brdecko1 of Deming, County of Luna, State of New Mexico, made corrective application to the State Engineer of New Mexico for a permit to change location of shallow well by abandoning the use of Well No. M-43-S located at a point in the of Section 17, Township 24 South, Range 9 West, N.M.P.M., for the irrigation of 122.0 acres of land described as follows: South part of lying East of Diagonal County Road, Section 8, 48.0 acres. North part lying East of old RR grade, tion 17, 74.0 acres both in Township 24 South, Range 9 West and commencing the use of a shallow Well No.

M-43-S, 16 inches in diameter and 540 feet in depth, located at a point in the of Section: 8. Township 24 South, Range 9 West, N.M.P.M., for the purpose of continuing rights for the irrigation of 122.0 acres of land described above. Old well to be retained for domestic use. Any person, firm, association, corporation, the State of New Mexico or the United States of America, deeming that the granting of the above application will be truly detrimental to their right in the waters of said underground source, may protest in writing the Engineer's granting approval of said application. The protest shall set forth all protestant's reasons why the application should not be approved and shall be accompanied by suporting affidavits and by proof that a copy of the protest has been served upon the applicant.

Said protest and proof of service must be filed with the State Engineer within ten (10) days after the date of the last publication of this notice. Unless protested, the application will be taken up for consideration by the State Engineer on that date, being on or about the 25th day of June, 1956. S. E. and Mrs. L. L. Ross, celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 3, at their home at 315 South 8th Street. Four of their daughters and families were present for the dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. Ross have six daughters, three sons, 30 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Present were their son-in-laws and daughters, Mr. and Mrs.

Everyone had a happy and pleasant day CYO Fiesta Is Huge Success The Catholic Youth Organization sponsored a social at the St. Ann's church grounds Sunday which is reported to have been a huge success. The girls baked delicious cakes and sold hot dogs, ice cream and cold drinks.

Several games were played throughout the evening. Climax of the evening was the young lamb which was won by a happy boy, David Moran, son of Mr. and Mrs. Florentino Moran, who is an employee at Brem Chevrolet. Father Stanley Aleksijus praised the boys and girls for an excellent manner in which they conducted themselves and for the success of their fiesta due to their limited efforts, cooperation and harmony.

He said. "They showed a true example of self reliance and responsibility." Several hundred people attendand the young people reported a good profit to work with for their organization. Father Stanley, as well as all the members of the Catholic Youth Organization, wish to thank everyone who helped in anyway for the wonderful success of the Youth's first venture.
