Adeline and her husband, Kichard of North Carolina and Caroline and Robert Luhman of Florida Andrew was initiated as an Apprentice into Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 44 New York, now Local 5 New York and first became President of that Local in October 1908 He came out of his retirement twice to again run for President and won both times.

He maintained his Presidency until his death. He was a loyal and dedicated Union man. Andrew served honorably and proudly in the United States Army. Andrew and Margie enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home and were members of the American Coach Association Southern Chapter. Andrew leaves behind his loving wife and children, grandchildren and great grandchild, who he enjoyed and loved immensely.

He also worked for Prudential Life Insurantv for four years, for the Inighkecpsie Itilicc Department as a detective for twelve years in the identification department, and owned and operat ed Jonnie's Bar Grill and a cigar candy store in Poughkeepsie He was also a musician with the Ross Combo on tenor sax and vocals A lifelong resident of I'oughkeep mc. he was a member of the Amer ican 1 gion and VFVV in I "oughkecp sic.

He was a gunner on the Gramon Torpedo Plane. Born June 24, 1921 in Poughkeepsie. he was the son of Frank and Rose Olivo Boss.

He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, class of 1940 and Manhattan College, where he received a UN football scholarsl lip On July 2, 1944 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie, he was married to Theresa San Felice. She predeceased him on Sept 18, 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Boss, Jersey City, NJ, a sister. Lorraine LaBocca and her husband, Anthony, Poughkeepsie; a brother, Edward Boss and his wife, Anita, Poughkeepsie and several nieces, nephews and cousins. I le was predeceased by a son, John Anthony Boss.

Karl Joseph Schatz TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE Karl Joseph Schatz, 72, a longtime area resident, died Sunday, Oct. 12,2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Pough keepsie.

Mr. Schatz worked for IBM for 25 years in East Fishkill up until his retirement. He was a United States Airforce Veteran and a member of OASIS in Beacon. Born June 16, 1936 in Yonkers, he was the son of Karl and Emma Snyder Schatz. Survivors include his two daughters, Victoria Biley and her husband, David of Poughkeepsie; a daughter, Donna Busfield of Arizona; a son, Bichard Strang and his wife, Jessica of East Fishkill; two sisters, Carol McCoughlin of Virginia and Mary I larrison of Florida; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Schatz. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held 4 Friday, Oct 17, at the OASIS Corner of lit. 52 and Delavan Ave. in Beacon.

Cecilia Cservak WAPPINGERS FALLS Cecilia Cservak, 87, of Wappingers Falls, died Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008 at The Pines in I'oughkeepsie Mrs. Cservak was a homemaker and a local resident most of her life Born Aug. 30, 1921 in Stoneco, NY (now part of the Town of Poughkeepsie), she was the daughter of Domen co and Carinna D'Domizio DiMarti no Survivors include her sons, I lichard Cservak and his wife, Donna of Wappingers Falls, Joseph Cservak of Wappingers Falls, John Cservak of Wappingers Falls; Bonald and his wife, Ella Marie of Wappingers Palls; her daughter, Mane White and Joseph Mastandrea of Wappingers Falls; 12 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two brothers.

Mary's Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dutchess Coun 1 Michael John Orsini Raymond Nastasi BRIEF BEACON Michael Jolin Orsini, 96, of Beacon, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, Oct 14, 2008. He was the for mer owner of Mi Bo's Restaurant in Beacon, where he always enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Mike purchased Mi Ro's in October of 1944 and it was a very successful establishment for over 30 years Under Mike's ownership, Mi Ro's sponsored numerous sports teams, especially baseball. Mr. Orisin was a charter member of St.

Francis of Assisi Sons of Italy, Life member of Beacon Engine and former member of Southern Dutchess Country Club. He was a member of St JoachimSt John's Church, Beacon. Mike was a talented baseball player from an early age. He played on several local teams in the 20's and 30's and managed the Ncwburgh Bees in 1938, 39 and 40. He was inducted into the Dutchess County Old Timers Baseball Hall of Fame in November 1963.

He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Born Oct. 25, 1911 in Newburgh, he was the son of the late Antonio Ricar do and Palma Rulli Orsini. On Oct. 27, 1935 in St.

John's Church, Beacon, he married Lucy Bose lannone. Mrs. Orsini predeceased him on Oct. 5, 2007. Survivors include his son, Michael "Mickey" Anthony Orsini of New York, NY; a daughter, Nina and her husband, James Cahill of Beacon; two sisters, Sue Butwell and Mary Calalu ca; three grandchildren, Eric, Michele, James and his wife, Annie; three great grandchildren, Tina, Joey and Sophie Cahill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Christine Hoyt and his sisters, Elda Gozza, Fannie Corrado, Evelyn Martin, Julia Clarino and Elizabeth Lease. Mother Hazel Bernice Brown BEACON Mother Hazel Bernice Brown was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008. She was 73.

Hazel was a lifelong Beacon resi dent and she relocated to San Antonio, TX for three years with her son, Bandall, daughters, Yolanda and Diedre. She returned to Newburgh with her son, I larry Jr. until god called her home. Mother Brown was bonvFeb. 17, 1935 in Beacon to the union of the late Fred Alston Sr.

and Lucy Watkins Alston. 1 Beacon, she met and married the late Harry L. Brown Sr. In this union they were blessed with four lovely children. 1 lazel was a lifelqng member of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Beacon, member of the Deaconess Ministry, Missionary, Gospel and Mass Choirs, Pastor Aide, Birthday Tea and past church clerk.

She was also a member of the Martin Luther King Choir and the Les Seours Amiable Civil Club, both of Beacon. Hazel was also a retired Administrative Specialist in the Documentations Department at IBM East Fishkill facility. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two sons, Reverend Harry L. Brown Jr, and his wife, Delia of Newburgh and Reverend Randall I. Brown and his wife, Laury; two daughters, Yolanda L.

Brown Silas and her husband, Jimmy and Diedre D.Brown Sanders and her husband, Devone all of San Antonio sixteen grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Fred Alston and his wife, Faye of Mount Holly, NJ and David Alston of Aurora, CO; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry L. Brown Sr. in 1997, he mother, Lucy E. FISHKILL Raymond Nastasi, 88, a resident of Dutchess County since 2004 and formerly of New burgh and Monroe, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Elant in Fishkill. Born in Newark, New Jersey on October 26, 1919, he was the son of Gaspare and Giacomina Bonomo Nastasi. He served in the US Army and was employed as a clerk for Ford Motor Company, Mahwah, New Jersey for 30 years until his retirement in 1984. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh and St. Anas tasia Church in Harriman and was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Italian American Club.

On May 3. 1947 in the Bronx, Raymond married Olga DeLuca who predeceased him on March 30, 2008. He is survived by his son, Victor Nastasi and his wife, Linda of I lopcwell Junction; his grandchildren, Kevin and Miranda Nastasi; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Gasper Nastasi, in 1971 and his brother, Joseph Nastasi. Calling hours will be private.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1 0 30 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.

'Batman' theme composer dies The Associated Press LOS ANGELES Neal Hefti, a Big Band trumpeter, arranger and composer of themes for the movie "The Odd Couple" and the "Batman" television series, has died. He was 85.

Hefti died Saturday at his home, his son, Paul Hefti, said.
