Ill Hooker Ate City of Poughkeepsle, were guests of honor at dinners, luncheons arid receptions In celebration of their golden wedding annlrersary.

The couple's Immediate family Is planning a theater and dinner celebration In New York City. William and Sadie Effron were married In New York City on Sept. 7, If JO. They hare three sons. Jack, Ira and Michael, all executives with Effron Bakery Supply and Efco Products.

They and their wives, Rita, Dana and Unda, all live In Pough keepsle. Mr. and Mrs. Effron have Tire grandchildren, Steven, Neil, Sam, Jonathan and Rachel. Mr.

Effron was born in Poughkeep sle, the son of Samuel and Fanny Effron. He attended local schools, graduated from Cornell University in 1927 and the following year started the Effron Bakery Supply located at 98 Montgomery St. In 1936 he moved the business to Its present lo cation at 1M Smith Su, where he expanded to Include Efco Products, a manufacturing firm for jams, Jellies, fruit fillings, cake and donut mixes. He was president of the Jewish Community Center; co founder of Camp Jekoce at Bear Mountain: past president of Temple Beth El and was voted "man of the year'! for Israel, Bonds. Mrs.

Effron was born In Durham, Ontario, was graduated from Dutchess Community College and in 1979 from Marlst College magna cum laude. She has been an active member of the Jewish Community Center; Camp Jekoce at Bear Mountain; secretary of Temple Beth El Sisterhood; worked as a case worker for Home Service Red Cross for five years and as a volunteer at Vassar Hospital for IS years. She is a member of the board of directors at Temple Beth El, and a life member of the YWCA. Mr. and Mrs.

Joseph Messina golden anniversary Messinas wed 50 years i09 Area births listed Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Messina, 12 Styvestandt Drive, Town of Pough keepsie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception at the Italian Center, City of Poughkep sie. I The event was given by their sons in law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs.

Tom Serino and Mr. and Mrs. Ray MacDermott. Approximately 100 guests attended Including their 11 grandchildren and two great grand children. Mr.

and Mrs. Messina were married July 23, 1930 In Newburgh and renewed their vows at the Community United Methodist Church, Route 376, Town of Poughkeepsle. Mr. Messina is retired from Schatz Manufacturing Co. and is employed part time by Abbate Handbags.

The couple received congratulations from President and Mrs. Carter. Hdoses celebrate 25th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoose, Route 52, Hopewell Junction, were honored recently at a 25th wedding anniversary party held at the home of their daughter and son in law.

Mr. and Mrs. William C. Segnit. Approximately 40 friends and relatives attended the celebration.

Mr. Hoose, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan J. Hoose, of Wapplngers Falls, and Mrs.

Jean Hoose, the daughter of the late Russell and Elsie Blaine, of Flshkill, were married on Aug. 28, 1955, at Trinity thurch In Flshkill. Mr. Hoose is theowner of Hoose's Agway in Brinckerhoff. Mrs. Bugosh tops Clinton flower show CLINTON CORNERS Mrs. Joanne Bugosh won the trl color award, indicating Best In Show, In the "Elegant Eighties" Friendship Gardens Flower Show conducted recently as part of the Clinton Community Day. She also took top honors for the modern line arrangement entitled "Looking Ahead" in the artistic classes. Mrs.

Linda Bugosh, Mrs. Robert Alger, Mrs. William Margarin and Mrs. Paul Schwarze won prizes In the invitational division and Mrs. Bu gosh's entry won the popularity vote of the public.

Other winners in the artistic classes Included "A Century Ago," dried arrangement, Mrs. Larry Bugosh; "Time Marches On." line arrangement, Mrs. Harold Fountain; "Dinner At Eight," Mrs. Frank Abel ing; "Miniature Elegance," Mrs, Frank Abeling; "The Way We Were," (men only), Dwight Miller; "Solar Produce," vegetable andor fruits, Mrs. Larry Bugosh; "Everything Is Beautiful," Mrs.
