26th COMING ON THEIR FAMILIES "Tne gospel of Goa concern.ng his Son Jes is Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness." (Romans Of what relation were the Father, the Son, and the Mother? How old was thq Son of God when he was born into the world? Were the Father and the Son the same person, or two distinct persons? Was the Son to bless the world as a babe or as a mighty king? If you want the true answers, don't take tradition, hear what the Lord says! Christ, the Son of God, was associated with the Father ages before he was born into the flesh of the off-spring of David. He prayed, And this is eternal life, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work that thou gavest me to do. And now, Eather, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (St.

John His going forth have been from of old, form everlasting." (Micah So Christ, after many ages, became the seed or off-spring of David through birth by Davids off-spring, Mary, and became not only the Son of God, but also the Son of man. In the New Testament Christ is called the "Son of God" about forty-three times, and the "Son of man about seventy times. He was the Son of man onty because he took upon himself human flesh from art earthly mother, who was the seed of David. She, Mary, was therefore not the mother of the Son of God who existed in eternity, but she was merely the mother of the Son of man. She was never God, never the mother of God, only the mother of the flesh of the Son ofMan.

God, the Father, and the Son are not the same person, as many have supposed. Jesus said, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things." (St. John God said, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. (Matthew When Jesus spoke of himself and the Father being one, he meant it in the same sense that his followers and he are one. See St.

John "Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou Father, art in me, and I in that they also may be one in us." This means to be one in agreement, in purpose and character. The Father and Son are one in this sense, but are distinct person, just as disciples are distinct persons. We cannot worship Christ today as a child in the manger, but as the Lord and Master of life, the King of the universe! Though he were a Son yet learned hp obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. (Hebrews For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement to the Son. (St.

John The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. (St. John WM. F. COPELAND (or the Church of Christ FRIDAY IT IS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO GIVE OUR EMPLOYEES A 3-DAY HOLIDAY WHITFIELD TRANSPORTATION INC C.
