In the latter capacity Father Casey has become one of the best and familiar figuies in western Montana. From Dillon on the south to Kalispell on the north lie has traveled the highways and byways in taking care of the multitudinous details in connection with his management of a paper that is deliveied each week to eveiy Catholic home in the Helena Father Casey has served und four bishops, starting with the late Bishop John P. Carroll, who as the successor to the late Bishop John B. Brondel, took charge of the diocese at a time when Montana was emerging from frontier stages into the blossoming growth of advancing statehood. Following Bishop Carroll's death, Father Casey served successively under Bishop George J.

Finnigan and Bishop Ralph Hayes and now under the Most Rev. Joseph M. Gilmore. Arrangements for his silver sacerdotal jubilee are in the hands of a committee composed of the Very Rev. Denis P.

Meade, the Rev. Henry Blackmore, S.J., and the Rev. James Sheerin, all of whom are well known in western Montana. The Solemn Mass of I will he celehrated by Father Casey at 11 o'clock i his parish church--St. Michael's.

Father Meade will be the preacher. A reception for the laitj' will take place at noon in the parish rectory, while a luncheon for the visiting clergy will take place at 2 o'clock. Father Casey was born at Cor- robone House, in the parish of Ballindangan, i County Cork, Ireland. He made his stujJies leading to the priesthood in Iieland, England and the United States. In recent years he has done considerable traveling, and in 193S circled the globe.
