2002. Our beloved father has joined his wonderful mother and father, Annie Mae and Clarence Beaty, and his sister, Shirley Clark. He will be dearly missed. Mr. Beaty served his country during World War I1, earning 1 Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

He was a member of the Nashville Bar Association for 50 years, and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his children, Donna Sue Beardsworth and her husband Jim, Tammy Jean Beaty Strane and Randall Beaty and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Misty Leah McDowell, Matthew Strane, Jacob Strane, Randall Beaty, Randall Shantel Beaty, Patrick Beaty, Richard Beaty, Daniel Beaty, Micholas Beaty and Dawn Beaty; great-granddaughter, Hannah Kate McDowell; sisters, Julia Burkitt, Doris Mae Beaty and Patricia Ann Draughon. His remains rest at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Road, where the family will receive friends today, one o'clock until eight o'clock. 2002 at Skyline Hospital from congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bransford Allen Kemp and Lillie Ann Martin Kemp; his brother, Donald Lee Kemp; and sister, Audean Kemp. Lloyd attended East Nashville High School, and served his country during WWII in the Armored Division of Ft. Knox, KY. His division was one of the Armed Forces who occupied Japan after the war.

Mr. Kemp was married to Willie Mai Justice, who died in 1979. They had one daughter, Vickie Lynn Kemp Forkum, who survives. He was later married to Faye Young, and she survives. In addition to his wife and daughter, Mr.

Kemp is survived by two grandchildren, Laura Forkum and Adam Forkum; son-in-law, Randall Forkum; stepdaughters, Chris Vaughan (Jimmy), Terry Nutter, Sharon Young; four step Travis and Troy Chapman, Kwani and Sha Shonia Cornell; one step-great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Chapman. He is survived by two brothers, Billy Douglas "Kemp (Jean), Charles Ray Kemp (Jeanne); and sister, Thelma Kemp Waters (Raymond); and several loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Kemp was a long time member of Cornerstone Church, Old Hickory Madison. He was a U.S.

Postal employee for 35 years. He was a christian gentleman, who loved God, served Jesus Christ, loved his country, loved his family and church family, and now has gone to be eternally with the Lord and is reunited with friends and loved ones who have gone on before. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2002 from Cornerstone Church. Visitation with the family will be from 6 until 9 p.m.

Preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Burge, a retired fireman; her parents, John N. and Nellie Hough Hendricks; and her sister, Adelaide Hazelwood (Del Wood). She is survived by her sister, Margret H. Herbison; and nephew, Wesley (Leslie) Hazelwood; devoted friend and caregiver, Linda J.

Hayes. She was a longtime member of Central and Shelby Avenue Churches of Christ. She was a member of Preceptor Chapter Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was elected to the Davidson County Democratic Executive Committee. was a lifetime member of the three star letters to the editor of the Tennessean forum. Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Central and Shelby Avenue Churches of Christ, Dawes Bratten, Wesley Hazelwood and officers and directors and employees of McQuiddy Printing Company.
