Bowlby died February 24 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. Mr. Bowlby was born in Bound Brook, grew up in Somerville, where he was a 1949 graduate of Somerville High School and then resided in Basking Ridge for 35 years before moving back to his favorite Somerville in 1995.

After graduating from Rutgers College in 1953 and serving as an Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Bowlby began his career as a personnel consultant for RCA and Warner Lambert, specializing in positions of Research Development. In 1982, he began his own company, Bowlby Associates in Somerville placing applicants in numerous pharmaceutical careers. Mr. Bowlby was a faithful communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville and a member of the Rari- tan Valley Country Club, Bridgewater.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Bettyann, his children Dick and his wife Kathleen and children Anne and Maggie; Marianne Orlando and her husband Bill and children Jeff and Ashley; Jim and his wife Kim and children Jacob and Gabrielle. Visiting hours on Thursday, February 26, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 27, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Bridgewater.

Feb. 19, 2015 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in he lived there before moving to Piscataway in 1974. He was employed with Mack Trucks in eld and Bridgewater retiring after 36 years of service. After retiring, he was a self-employed carpenter.

Richard was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in eld where he served as a former trustee and member of the male usher board. He was a U. S. Army veteran during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 7474 in where he was the former Commander. He is predeceased by his 2 wives Barbara L.

Christmas and Sara Christmas; 2 sisters Eliza Stevens and Esther Doddy; 3 brothers Arnold, St. Clair and Christopher Christmas. Surviving is his son Richard L. Christmas, Jr. (Elizabeth); 2 daughters Angela Christmas and Berlinda Perry (Herman Green); 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 sister Mahala Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in New York City on February 11, 1927, Truman was the younger of two sons born to Dr. James Gordon Boyes and Mayla Durkin Boyes of NJ.

Truman attended college at Princeton University, graduating in 1948 with a B.S degree. Mr. Boyes obtained his M.D. degree at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario (where both his father and his older brother James also received their medical training), graduating in 1953. He underwent residency training in urology at St.

Hospital in New York City from 1953 to 1956. At St. Truman met the love of his life, Mary Alice Delaney. Mary worked there as a nurse and after a brief engagement, they were married on June 19, 1954. After obtaining his medical license, Dr.

Boyes returned to his hometown where he and Mary raised a family of eight. Dr. Boyes maintained a private urological practice in for more than three decades and spent countless hours at the Muhlenberg Hospital where he was proud to serve. Truman was a member of the American Board of Urology, retiring from private practice in 2000.Dr. Boyes was a past member of St.

Roman Catholic Church in and member of the Country Club. He was a proud Princeton Alumnus and particularly enjoyed the camaraderie of his medical colleagues with whom he formed many lasting friendships. Truman and Mary loved to travel; they spent many family vacations on Nantucket Island where Truman loved to sh and bask in the warmth of his loving family. He was fond of all variety of dogs and they of him. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Alice, 68, in 2001, his brother James, 85, in 2010 and a grandson, Christopher Andrew Davis in 1991.

Surviving are his ve daughters; Michelle Maury, Megan Boyes and Moira Parsons of Nantucket, MA, Cathy Rapport of College Station, TX and Ciaran Reilly of Hudson, OH, his three sons; Truman, Jr. of eld, Thomas of Nantucket, MA, and James of eld, NJ, nineteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Church on Nantucket Island. TRUMAN DURKIN BOYES AGE: 88 PLAINFIELD Philomena (Fanny) Guarino 97, died Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Memory Care Living in Green Brook. Mrs. Guarino was born in Bernardsville and lived in North 92 years. She was co-Founder of Furs by Guarino in Green Brook. Fanny was a communicant of St.

R.C. Church in North and a member of the North eld Seniors. She was predeceased by her husband Carmine Guarino in 1971, her brother Ralph (Henry) De Gulio, 3 sisters, Rose Armenti, Josephine Kraus and Emma Tufaro. Surviving is a son John and wife Annette Guarino of Warren, a daughter Rose Marie and husband Raymond Del Vecchio of North a brother Ruben De Guilo of Watkinsville, Ga. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and her dear caregiver Janice Raley.

Services will start Friday 10 AM from the Scarpa Funeral Home 22 Craig Place, North followed by a 11:30 AM Mass at St. R.C. Gaston Ave. Somerville. A complete obituary will appear in Thursdays paper. BERNARD E. COOK AGE: 93 BRIDGEWATER (Korean War Veteran) Albert nger passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 23, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was 82 years of age. Al was born and raised in Summit, NJ and after graduating from Summit High School, was called into the Korean War where he served in the Army for two years. He was always proud of his service to his country. Returning from the war, Al oined the New York State Police where he served for years. He left the State Police to return home to Summit where he ultimately became employed as a Salesman for Nabisco Company and remained until his retirement 38 years later.

Al was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter, Kathleen Surviving are his beloved wife, Olivia Mary his beloved and caring step-daughters Donna Coates and her family and Dawn Bernstein and her family. He is also survived by two children and two grandchildren. He and his wife Olivia enjoyed traveling and also spent many winters vacationing in Vero Beach, Florida with their many friends. Two of his greatest joys in life were shing, gardening and he was an eternal Yankees fan. Al sincerely appreciated the prayers, compassion and morale support he received from his devoted wife, caring family members, close friends, kind neighbors and his Hospice Nurses and Personal Home Health Aide.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 2, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm at Scarponi- Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. org ALBERT JAMES HARLFINGER AGE: 82 SUMMIT Rose (Verme) Mazzucco, 96, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Morris Hall Assisted Living in Lawrenceville. Born in New York City to her late parents Angelo and Vita (Costa) Verme, she spent most of her life in Middlesex, moving to the assisted living in 2012. Rose enjoyed her time with her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, loved to read and had a passion for roses in her back yard. Rose was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish and belonged to their Altar Rosary Society.

She is predeceased by her husband of fty-one years, Alex Mazzucco, her son Gerard, daughter Marianne and brother Louis Verme. Rose leaves behind her loving daughter Pam Walters and her husband Gary of Mercerville, brother James Verme and his wife Martha of Germantown, MD and her daughter-in-law Susan Serpico and her husband Dominic. Rose will be missed by her adored grandchildren; Matthew Mazzucco, Marianne McCrann and her husband Matthew, Lisa Pullen and her husband David, Paul Mazzucco and his wife Joanne and Carolyn Walters and by her four cherished great-grandchildren; Michael, Allison, Madison and Annaleigh. ROSE MAZZUCCO AGE: 96 LAWRENCEVILLE Doris was born and raised Newark, NJ and formerly of Mountainside before moving to Bridgewater in 1987.

She was employed a bookkeeper at Bayer Company in Mountainside, Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church in Bridgewater where she was active in Friendship Circle, the Priscilla Circle and the Chancel Guild. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and playing Pinochle. Doris will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are her children, Richard and his wife Patricia, Carol Shohan and her husband Larry, and Donna Roccia and her husband Pe- ter, ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. OELS AGE: 89 BRIDGEWATER Ruth DeVries, 79, passed away February 5, 2015 in the loving home of her daughter Susan. Born in Newark, NJ, she resided most of her life in Piscataway before moving to Saint Johns, Florida to live with her family. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Charles who passed away in 2009 and by her daughter-in-law Paula. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth DeVries of Piscataway and Thomas DeVries and his wife Julie of Stockton; her daughters, Mary Ann Santoro and her husband John of Piscataway, Susan Duzick and her husband David of Saint Johns, FL and Karen Greenwald and her husband Michael of Saint Johns, FL; her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
