Andrew McMurray Jr, 19, of Herman Street, has been charged with criminal homicide, a Metro police news release said.

McMurray is accused of shooting Ewing around 530 am. Friday at the intersection of Lewis and Robertson streets, in the J.C Napier Homes public housing complex, police said Ewing, 35, of Lobelville, Tenn, was trying to buy drugs when he was killed police said Friday. McMurray was arrested on Lewis Street just before mid night Tuesday for failing to appear in court and on an unrelated driver's license charge, the release said After his arrest, McMurray was questioned by authorities and admitted shooting Ewing. Staff Writer A Wisconsin woman wanted in connection with the slaying of her live-in boyfriend was arrested Tuesday night by local FBI agents and Metro Police Department at the downtown Best Western hotel, 1407 Division St Laura D.
