(AP) One man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison, and a second went on trial yesterday for tossing a large rock from an interstate overpass, shattering a car window and nearly killing a Kentucky woman.

Brad McCann, 19, of Prattville, went on trial in Autauga County, Circuit Court, the last of four defendants to be prosecuted in the case. The other three, all of whom pleaded guilty, agreed to testify against McCann. Jurors were deliberating last night in McCann's case. On Monday, Circuit Judge Ben Fuller sentenced Brian Calhoun, 23, to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to assault and two counts ESTEP, Kenneth Wayne Age 67. He founded Evans Glass Company in 1956, was a charter member of Melrose Civitan Club, and was a member of the Couples Class at Belmont United Methodist Church.
