A10 THE POST-CRESCENT, APPLETON-FOX CITIES, WIS. POSTCRESCENT.COM OBITUARIES Our much beloved Arnold (Butch) Craig passed unexpectedly on January 28, 2015, in Tucson Arizona, due to illness. Butch was preceded in death by his father, George Craig, mother, Julie Thomack, and infant daughter, Tina Marie Craig. He leaves behind the loves of his life, daughters, Jodie Craig and Jessica Craig. His beloved grandchildren, include Jaid Hintzke, Carmello and Aiyanna DeAngelas, and Adam and Jacob Craig.

Butch was blessed with brothers and sisters, Beverly Flynn (John), Sylvia Quaintance (Bob), Priscilla Sweeney (Tom), and James Thomack (Lori) whom miss him dearly. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews that adored his presence in their lives. Butch was a Vietnam war veteran and lived most of his life in Waupaca county Wisconsin. He was an Oneida Indian tribal member. Butch was known by many as an adventurous spirit that loved life, laughter and the great outdoors.

He could brighten day with his smile. Butch had the innate skill of storytelling that was enjoyed by many. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Butch expressed the desire of cremation at his death. The memorial service is scheduled to be held at the King Wisconsin Veterans cemetery, on Friday, May 15, at 1 p.m.

Butch is to be memorialized with honors as he was a three year active combat Vietnam war veteran. The family will hold a private ceremony on birthday May 16, to celebrate his life. In lieu of Yowers, a memorial fund has been setup to assist the family at this hour of need. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Craig, Arnold (Butch) Vernon D. Rasmussen, age 84 of Clintonville passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, February 3, 2015 following a battle with cancer. Vern was born on April 11, 1930 in Marsh- Keld, WI as the son of the late Olaf and Sarah (Jacobson) Rasmussen. He graduated from MarshKeld High School in 1948 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1950.

He honorably served his country as a tail-gunner on a B-29 during the Korean War. Vern was stationed in Alaska at Elmendorf Air Force Base and later at the Air War College in Montgomery, AL. After his discharge, Vern returned home and later graduated from UW Stevens Point. He was united in marriage to Joyce Burt on August 31, 1957 in MarshKeld. The couple moved to Clintonville where Vern taught Chemistry at Clintonville High School for 34 years; retiring in 1992.

During his teaching career, Vern received numerous science scholarships and always enjoyed visiting with former students. He loved spending time in the outdoors; especially when it came to teaching his sons about all it had to Vern loved hunting Ksh- ing and Krmly believed in leaving the outdoors better than you found it. He was instrumental in forming the Conservation Club at the High School and was an instructor for the hunter safety program in town. He also had a passion for trap shooting; especially as a member of the Clintonville Trap Shooting League. Vern was a current member of the United Methodist Church in Clintonville as well as a member of the American Legion Post He will be remembered for his love of educating people and will be missed greatly by his loved ones.

Survivors include: His wife Joyce, of 57 years. Sons: Scott (Fiance; Jacqueline Rasmussen, Weyauwega. Kurt (Colleen) Rasmussen, Cottage Grove, MN. 3 Grandchildren: Jordyn, Cole, Nicholas Rasmussen. Also a sister: Velva Jean (Don) Seehafer, Manitowoc.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother sister-in-law; Raymond (Rita) Rasmussen. A memorial service will be held for Vern on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville with Rev. Keith Wolf ating. Military honor rites will be conducted outside of the church following the service by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post and VFW Post Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family with the arrangements.

Rasmussen, Vernon D. Luke Thomas Moder, 67, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning.

He was born on August 4, 1947 to Robert Moder and Josephine Luben. Luke was a proud veteran having served in the US Army from 1964 until 1968. On June 6, 1970 he married Sue Ebenhoe in Appleton. Luke loved the outdoors, Mshing, hunting, watching the birds in his front yard, and, this winter watching the squirrels. He retired from Appleton Papers in 2009 after more than 40 years there.

He also worked for Lawrence University many years painting, renovating and detailing the Victorian homes on campus. Most importantly he enjoyed Mshing with his six grandkids. He loved cuddling with them and always had his wallet handy to show oS their pictures. Luke will be lovingly missed by his wife, Sue, three children; Stacey (Craig) Trautsch, Sun Prairie, Chad (Lori) Moder, Appleton, Todd Moder, Appleton, six grandchildren; Hannah, Maggie, Adam, and Alex Trautsch, Collin and Allison Moder, brothers and sisters; John (Betsy) Moder, Linda Stadler, Ed (Julia) Luben, Patty Firkus, a sister-in-law Kathie (Steve) Milhaupt, and his step mother, Laverne Moder, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Luke was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Edward Luben, sisters, Sharon and Cyn- thia and a sister-in-law, Jan Moder.

The funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St. with Fr. Falk oSiciating.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www. wichmannfargo.com. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Fr. Falk for everything he has done.

In lieu of a mem orial fund will be es tabl ished in his name. Luke Thomas Moder Donald D. Wippich, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born on August 3, 1928 to the late John and Viola (Maciejewski) Wippich. Donald attended and graduated from Menasha High School.

Don served his country in the Korean War, where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart. On November 13, 1954 he married Nancy Schnasse, and the two spent nearly 60 years together until her passing in 2014. He worked at Kimberly-Clark Lakeview Mill until his retirement. In retirement he enjoyed traveling and also spent time visiting his friends and haunts around Menasha. Donald is survived by his four children: Pam (Chuck) Peterson, Greenville; Jim (Vicki) Wippich, Neenah; Linda (Steve) Stratton, Appleton; Fred Wippich, Menasha; seven grandchildren: Joe (Kim) Stratton; Craig (Erin) Peterson; Chris (Mollie) Stratton; Tori Wippich; Sarah (Joe) Hansen; (Kayla) Wippich; Kathie (Chelsie) Hansen-Stratton; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Melanie, Daniel and Reese; sister: Florence Babbitts; sister-in-law: Marge (Bob Bolwerk) Wippich; brother-in-law: Eugene (Liz) Schnasse.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Wippich; parents- in-law: Fred and Cecelia Schnasse; brother: Jack Wippich; brothers-inlaw: Cedric Babbitts; Don (Harriet) Schnasse; sister- in-law: Joyce (Jim) Koslowski. The Funeral Liturgy for Donald will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH (516 De Pere Menasha) with Fr. Paul Paider Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of aowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.

Wippich Jerry Golden, age 81, of Kaukauna, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 14, 1933 in Appleton, to the late Thomas P. and Myrtle Golden. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On October 18, 1962, he married the love of his life Bonnie Vandenberg at St.

Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. Jerry was a member of the Urban Klister American Legion Post 436 of Wrightstown. He was a faithful member, trustee, and member of the visitation committee at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Jerry was very involved in the community which included being Past President of the Optimist Club, he received the Life Time Volunteer of the Year Award, the Kaukauna High School Alumni Award, and he was a charter member of the Culture Corner. He volunteered at the Emergency Shelter and sang with the Jerry was employed as a bartender at Van then at Kaukauna High School, Weyers Insurance, and after retirement his true calling as an associate at Fargo Funeral Home.

His family and friends meant the world to him and he will be missed by many. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonnie Golden; daughters, Mary Golden of Kaukauna and Carol Koller of Appleton; son, Tom (Dawn) Golden of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Hannah and Jacob Koller, Jena and Connor Golden; brother, Jim (Joyce) Golden of Little Chute; siblings: Colleen (Ron) Weyers of Green Bay, Vernon (Mary) Vandenberg of Green Bay, Jane (John) Van Asten of Darboy, Lois (Terry) Weyers of Oconto Falls, and Kaye (Lloyd) Springstroh of Freedom. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy, brothers and sisters: Bob (Shirley) Golden, Lee (Florence) Golden, Margaret (Harold) Kunert, Pat (Elmore) Coates, and Billy Golden; nephew and godchild, Patrick Golden and niece Mary Pat Kunert; parents, Margaret and Clem Vandenberg, brother-in- law Harv Springstroh, and nephew Christopher Springstroh. The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 6, 2015 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna.

Fr. Tom Pomeroy and Fr. Willard Van De Loo will be concelebrating. Interment will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Hollandtown.

A time of visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. A parish prayer service will take place on Thursday at 7:30 pm. In lieu of cowers, memorials to The Miracle League of the Fox Valley and Holy Cross Catholic Church are appreciated. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Health Care and The University of Wisconsin Hospital, along with the at Fresenius Dialysis Center and ty Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Jerry and our family.

You were the glue that kept our family together. The life of the party during all the great times, and the rock that gave us strength when times were tough. Your contagious Irish smile lit up a room. We take great comfort knowing that Cathy was in heaven waiting for you. Now it is her time to enjoy your hugs, ntil we see you again.

Gerald D. Golden Donald Wilbur Wechsler, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Don was born on February 26, 1927 in Watertown, Minnesota to Edwin and Helen (Rieck) Wechsler. He was a veteran having served in the US Army from 1946 to 1947. On April 1, 1951 he was united in marriage to Shirley Lampher.

He worked as a salesman for Machine Tool Supply Company until his retirement in 1995. family was the most important thing to him and he enjoyed many special times that will always be treasured. He also had a strong faith and was a member of Shepherd of the Hills in Greenville. Don is survived by his wife Shirley, his son, Kelly (Phyllis) Wechsler, two granddaughters; Stacey Brandon Mathews) Wechsler, Brittany Wechsler, two great grandchildren; Scarlet and River Mathews, a sister- in-law, Blanche Wechsler, other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenneth.

The memorial service for Don will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS, N1615 Meadowview Dr. Greenville with Rev Steve Kline A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Donald Wilbur Wechsler Lee Delzer age 57 of New London passed away unexpectedly on February 4th, 2015. He was born December 22nd, 1957 in New London, son of Donald and Elizabeth (Close) Delzer. Lee was a union mason tender working for various companies in the Fox Valley area. He was an avid hunter and Rsherman and ill be deeply missed by his two hunting buddies Nathan and Monk. He is survived by his mother Betty and brothers Dan (Melody), Appleton; Ken, New London; Gary(Shari), Howard.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother Roger. A private family service will be held at a later date. Delzer, Lee K..
