to THE CULVER CITIZEN Mrs. Anna Grove Dies At Age 72 Mrs. Anna Grove, age 72. died Thursday evening at her home at 114 S. Ohio Street after being ill for two days.

She was born at Milbank, S. Dak. on Dee. 10, 1885. She was married to Robert Lenz who preceded her in death and in Sept.

1926 she married LeRoy Grove in Crookston, Minn. They lived in North Dakota before coming to Culver four years ago. Surviving with her husband. LeRoy, are four daughters, Mrs. Augusta Forseth.

Midlothian, Mrs. Agnes Thomas, Culver, Mrs. Katherine Mikesell and Mrs. Meda Ann Wilson of Milwaukee. one son, William Lenz.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho: eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Easterday Funeral Home with Dr. Meredith Sprunger, pastor of the Grace United Church. officiating.

Burial was at the Culver Cemetery. Mrs. Daisy Stevens Dies At Monterey Mrs. Daisy Stevens, 74, Monterey, died at her home Thursday evening following a lengthy illness. She was born Oct.

24. 1883, in Pulaskit County. On March 16. 1903, she was married in Chicago to William Stevens who survives. Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs.

George Berry of Ohio. Mrs. Carl Keller of Monterey and Miss Laverne Stevens of Fernville, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren: three brothers. John Overmyer of Monterey. Kenneth Overmyer of Homewood.

and Fred Overmyer of Lansing. two sisters. Mrs. Eugene Printl of Niles, and Mrs. Glen Redd of New Carlisle.

Plenty of help--small job. Little help---big job! LIONS DECALS Here is a combined project for the Tailtwisters and the Club Secretary. First, the Secretary will want to order a sufficient number of Lion's Emblem decals to have at least one for every member.

Then the Tailtwisters will distribute the decals among the members with instructions to display them on their automobile truck windshields, as well as on the front window of their place of business. When sufficient time has elapsed to allow these decals to be put in place, the Tailtwisters can start fining any club member who does not have a decal on his car, truck. or place of business. The above suggested project was printed in the Monthly Newsletter of some time ago, and thinking the Tailtwisters might be interested, I have copied it for their benefit. Impressive World Day Of Prayer Service Held Sponsored by the Union Township Council of Churches, the impressive World Day of Prayer service was held Friday afternoon at the Grace United Church. Mrs. Shelton Kaiser acted as chairman, filling. the place of Mrs. Harvey Carr whose death cecurred last week.

Mrs. Kaiser opened the meeting by telling of the purpose of the Day of Prayer and with a short talk in which she gave recipes for "Joyful Living." Mrs. Glen Snyder read a beautiful tribute to Mrs. Carr. Mrs.

Jesse Sims was the leader in the call to prayer; Mrs. Fred Masten led the praise service; Mrs. Donald Davis led the confession service: and Mrs. Norman La Munion led in the intercession and dedication service. Special prayers were offered by Mrs.

Lee Wynn, Mrs. Charles Dickerson, Mrs. Joe Boetsma, and Mrs. Richard Behmer. Group singing was led by Mrs.

Roger Thews who also sang a solo. "'The Day Thou Gavest Lord Is Ended." to conclude the program. The benediction was given by Rev. Kendall Sands. Miss Sondra Bend was the guest of Mr.

W. O. Gollnick, received the Eagle Scout award at the Scout Court of Honor at the Methodist Church on Monday, Feb. 10. A member of the Culver Boys Scout Troop 290, sponsored by the Methodist Church, Walter is Culver's first Eagle Scout in over ten years.

A Second Class award was presented to Thomas Miracle, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Miracle, and Tenderfoot awards were made to Lee Curry, William Gleason, Richard Knoerzer, Michael McCullough, Brian Piersol.
