Ernest Quimby had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Quimby at Elkhart and supper with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Overmyer at Edwardsburg, Mich.

Mrs. Sarah Crull and son, and Mrs. Patsy Hoesel and son of Culver were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thomas and Citarles Stuck.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gibbons spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Harold McGriff and Albert McGriff at Rochester.

Sunday at the Easterday Funeral Home for Edward Albert Herman Sauer, age 68. who died Friday morning at the Masonie Home at Springfield. Ohio. Dr. Meredith Sprunger, pastor of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church.

officiated and burial was at the Culver Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Sauer was born in Germany and came to Ohio with his family when a small boy. He lived in Culver for a few years before gOing to the Masonic Home. He was a member of the Biglow Masonic Lodge in Cleveland, Ohio.

Surviving relatives include a son. Edward Warsaw: two daughters. Mrs. Margaret Jane Roush, East Liverpool, Ohio, and Mrs. Betty Galyon.

Col. W. W. Barksdale Continues Active Life In Clarksville, Tenn. William W.

Barksdale, formerly of the C.M.A. staff, is head of the W. W. Barksdale Insurance Service in Clarksville, Tenn. Col.

Barksdale left C.M.A. in 1942 tor active Army service. Upon his return from overseas in the European theatre. where he saw active service in France with armored forces. he returned to the U.S.

and became associated with one of the major insurance companies in New England in their home office. He was r'ecalled to active duty shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War and served part of the time as executive officer and assistant post commander at the air borne infantry post at Fort Campbell. Ky. He was discharged late in 1952. After a long Illness Col.

Barksdale's mother died in Jan. 1951. His father was for many years editor and publisher of the Clarksrille Leaf-Chronicle which is the oldest daily newspaper in TenCol. Barksdale is active nessee. in civic affairs in Clarksville.
