Herbert L. Hammon, 76, of Dickson. died yesterday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Dickson Funeral Home, Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Hammon, the former Elizabeth Hurt, was a native of Dickson County. Her husband served as sherriff of Dickson County from 1940 to 1946. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Bible Class. Women's Missionary Society.

In 1957, the Elizabeth Hammon Girls Auxiliary of the Dickson First Baptist Church was named in her honor. Survivors include her husband: three daughters, Mrs. John N. Connelly, Nashville, Mrs. George Daniel, Dickson, and Mrs.

Randell Brown, Waverly, three borthers, Cecil and Oscar, Detroit, and Egbert Hurt, Dickson; five grandsons, John L. Robert G. and Dr. Donald R. Connelly, Nashville, Benny, Oneida, and Herbert H.

Mrs. Martin died Friday evening in Vanderbilt Hospital, In 1920 she warried Loy Martin, an engineer for the Railroad, who survives, Mrs. Martin a member of the Wingate Church of Christ, Ladies Auxiliary 286 of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, and vicepresident of the Parthenon Division of the Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of 492, Locomotive Engineers. Other include two daughters, Mrs.

Hazel M. Little Ann Harris, both of Nashville; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Schumpert, Nashville; two brothers, Hedgecoth, Chapel Hill, and Bob Hedgecoth, Friendsville, four grandchildren. Thomas T. Maddux Jr.

Services for Thomas Taylor Maddux 54, of Rich Acres Avenue, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul F. Lanius will officiate.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Maddux died of a cerebral hemorrhage Friday afternoon in a Nashville hospital. A lifelong resident of Nashville, Maddux was an engineer for Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Co. He graduated In 1939 he married from Hume-Fogg Highn School. Annie, McAlister, who survives.

Maddux was a member of the Meridian Street Methodist Church. Other survivors include three brothers, Orville Eugene, and Douglas H. Maddux, Nashville. Mrs. Erma Ladd Services for Mrs.

Erma Rosson Ladd, 79, of 1016 Zophi will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Philip Robinson Funeral Comperry Home. will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Cemetery. Mrs.

Ladd died Friday at her home of cancer. She was the first president of the Davidson County Council of Parent Teachers Associations. She was a Senior Citizen and a Methodist. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph O'Malley, Nashville; a son, Dr.

C. Joseph Ladd, Nashville; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson, Murfreesboro and Mrs. Vallie ville; three brothers, John R. Rosson, Goodlettsville, Emmett Rosson, Stanton, and R.

a Mellott, retired captain for the Nashville Fire Department, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles O'Donnell will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mellott died Friday morning after a heart attack at his home. Mellott was with the Nashville Fire Department for more than 27 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Griffith Mellott. and a sister, Mrs.

Julia Watson, Adairville, Ky. John Henry Caldwell Requiem mass for John Henry Caldwell, 72, retired steeplejack, will be at 6:30 a.m. today at the Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, The body is at PettusOwen and Wood Funeral Home. Caldwell died at the home Friday' night.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Larene Caldwell Craig, and Mrs. Dean Stanley; a son, Robert F. Caldwell; a half sister, Mrs. Susie Murray and 12 grandchildren, all of Nashville.

Mrs. Inez Fielder Mrs. Inez Fielder, of 3904 Murphy Road, died last night in a Nashville hospital. Arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home.

A native Hickman County, Mrs. Fielder had lived in Nashville 40 years. Survivors include a son, Ernest E. Fielder, Owensboro, and a grandson, Jackie Eugene Fielder, Boston. Rites Tomorrow Mrs.

Annie Howse Walker Former Tennessean dies Ex-Nashvillian Dies At Whittier, Calif. Services for Mrs. Annie Howse Walker, 71, of Whittier, formerly of Nashville, will be tomorrow. at Walker, Whittier. diabetic, died after a stroke yesterday in a Whittier hospital.

She was a native of Rutherford County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. E. V. Roberts, Whittier, and Mrs.

Louis F. Hoskins, Shelbyville, five sisters, Mrs. Addie Lee Dixon, Mrs. O. E.

Batts, Mrs. Katie Hillin, Nashville, Mrs. J. A. Graves, Girard, and Mrs.

Lissie Pedigo and Mrs. Sue Powell, all of Nashville; a brother, Everett Stinson, Chicago, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services for Rufus T. Cornelius, 87, former teacher at Wallace University School and Montgomery-Bell Academy here, will be in Lakeland, tomorrow at 11 a.m. Cornelius died Friday at a hospital in Winterhaven, after a short illness.

He had made his home in Lake Alfred, nearby for two years. The body is at Lane Funeral home in Haines City, Fla. Cornelius taught at Wallace School from 1904 to 1923 and from 1937 to 1941. He taught at MBA from 1941 until his retirement in 1950. He received his A.B.

degree from Vanderbilt in 1907 and his M.A. degree in 1910. His field was the classics and romance languages. He was a Mason, an ordained Methodist minister, and longtime member of Belmont Methodist Church in Nashville. He is survived by two sons, Burch Cornelius of Wauchula, and Dr.

William G. Cornelius of Atlanta. AME Pastor The Rev. W. Clark Wills Dies in sleep Friday Rev.

W. C. Wills Dies at 76 Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night for the Rev. W. Clark Wills, 76, who died in his sleep Friday night at his home, 1709 Villa Place.

Wills was pastor of Ebenezer AME Church, where he had a served for the past year. From 1946 to 1954, Wills was presiding elder in the South Nashville district of the AME Church. He had been a member of the general conference of the AME Church for many years. He had been pastor of three other Nashville churches: St. Paul AME 1954-1956; St.

Luke AME, 1956-1960; and Salem AME 1960-62. He had been pastor of churches in Illinois, Arkansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Thelma Anderson Wills, and a sister, Mrs. Harriet Reed, Evanston, Illinois.

The body is at Patton Brothers Funeral Home. Fred Johnson Peay Services for Fred Johnson Peay, 73, of Donelson, will be at p.m. tomorrow at Welch Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Peay died yesterday in General Hospital after a stroke.

He was born in Whitwell, Tenn. He was a member of West End Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marguerite Nabors Peay; a son, Vinson Peay, Nashville; brothers, Alton T. Fired Peay, San Antonio, and Robert T.

Peay, Chattanooga; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bell, Kensing- ton, Mrs. Horace Brown, Chickamauga, Mrs. Lloyd Williams and Mrs. J.

H. Montgomery, Richmond, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Joseph Cambron, Nashville; and two grandchildren. Critz To Speak Here Maj. Gen.

Harry H. Critz, commander of the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell, will address the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. in the Hermitage Hotel ballroom. Dr. Felix C.

Robb, president of Peabody College, will address the luncheon meeting of the Nashville Rotary Club tomorrow. Robb is a member of the club. Mrs. Fannie Cohn Rufus T. Cornelius Services in Florida Dr.

Robb To Speak At Rotary Luncheon Mrs. Fannie Cohn, 85, died yesterday after a heart attack in Vanderbilt Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Temple Chapel. Rabbi Randall Falk will officiate.

Burial will be in the Temple Cemetery. The body is at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. Mrs. Cohn was a native of Louisiana and moved to Nashville 48 years ago. She was a member of The Temple, Council of Jewish Women, Jewish Community Center and Woodmont Country Club.

There are no immediate survivors. Mrs. Rebecca Jonas Services for Rebecca Long Jonas of Granny Mitis White Pike will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. Jonas died Friday afternoon at her home. She was a native of Maury County, daughter of Ross C. and Knight Long. She lived in Nashville most of her life.

She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Ruth Bartlett, Nashville, and a sister, Mrs. Joe Fisher, Nashville. Miss Frances Boyd Services for Miss Frances Gertrude Boyd, 80, of 708 47th will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Miss Boyd died early vesterday at her home, apparently of a stroke. She was a member of Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel Spinks, Nashville and several nieces and nephews.
