AN NIL realignment committee is at work preparing proposed divisions and will present its views for league acceptance at the group's winter meeting. The committee work, as always, is confidential. graphically into two divisions, Eastern and Western, Without listiiic the team lineup (which appears in the tables at right), the modification suggestion would move up the Wronger members of the present Class AAA to form a larger "top classification" and add new schools, Stratford and Two Rivers, which may ask for loop admittance for next year, to the lower "A' 'classification. THE "GEOGRAPHIC proposal splits the league by using Murfreesboro Road and Clarks-ville Highway. It then puts these teams into separate divisions within these two classes. The Class AA of boUi Eastern and Western Divisions would meet each year, presumably in the Clinic Bowl, for the Nashville title. The Class A also would playoff for a Nashville title.

Fantastic, you say? Well, there would be things like inter-divisional play and a required number of games for championship eligibility to be worked out. But, each of the different plans would make it possible to schedule a season of games inside the loop if it was desirable. Old rivalries could still be maintained, although in some instances they would no longer count in the -standings. We think there is merit to each of the Proposals. But, the biennial problem of re-dividing the growing NIL always produces heated arguments and this year will be no different.

WONDER HOW close the loop committee studying realignment will be to either of these proposals this winter? This Week's Slate THURSDAY C.nodlettiTllle at Central (AA), Cohn at Oupont (AAA). DnneUon at Glencliff (AAA). Wel at Madlion (AAA). MHA at Murfrettboro. HilUbnre at Franklin.

Reed ran off the first two sets, then fell behind 4-3 in the third set when the match was sus pended because of darkness. Yesterday Pietrangeli dropped the first game, enabling Reed to tie the third set at After that Pietrangeli deftly using passing shots and steadily driving to Reed's backhand was never behind except for a brier 2-0 deficit at the start of the fourth set.
