Campbell, Janice and Nancy, and Mr. and Mrs. James Pomeroy traveled to Alabama to at- tende the funeral of Mrs. Campbell's sister, Mrs. Lois C.

Williams. Mrs. Williams died Nov. 18 following a long illness. She was a teacher at Keystone Heights, Florida, and was listed in the "Who's Who" in American Education.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Davis, and granddaughter Sharon ot Keystone Heights. end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pomeroy was his sister, Mr.

and Mrs. Isaac Aldredgc of Houston, and the Pomeroys daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sandford Jeans and family of Marshall. Thanksgiving week end visitors of Mr.

and Mrs. D. S. Campbell was their daughter, Capt. and Mrs.

F. M. Cook, Randy and Wayne, of Holloman AFP, New Mexico. The Cooks are in the process of transfering to an Air Force base in Idaho. and Mrs.

G. N. Hill, Gary, Jerry, and Sharon spent the week end visiting his mother. Mrs. Christie Hill, in Fort Worth.

Members of the choir of the Methodist Church, and several other church members traveled to the Oak Lawn Rest Home in Gilmer Sunday, Nov. 21. Rev. Adair brought a message to the patients, and special songs were sung by Mr. and Mrs.

Larry Lattimore. with several songs being sung by the choir. Approximately 30 persons attended. Week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs.

L. E. Ward were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beard, Ronald and Brenda of Houston, and the Ward's daughter, Linda, a student at the University of Oklahoma.

Linda Ward, Mary Alice Arrington, Johnny Brian, and Jack Jones traveled Nov. 26 to Houston to hear Billy Graham. Bill Payton and sons, Steve and Mike attended the Dallas-Cleveland football game in Dallas Sunday, Nov. 21. Making the trip with them was Bill Maxwell.

Five and six class of the Ore City Methodist Church enjoyed a hike and picnic Friday, Nov. 6th at the lake. Those attending were Mike Lee, David Kidder, Baxter Nelson, Bill Brasher, Gregg Burke, Jack and Lee Newsom, and the teachers, Mrs. Bill Payton and Mrs. Weldon Newsom.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Couch, Karen and Mike spent the holidays visiting her mother, Mrs. W. R.

Aaron in Leachville, Ark. Mr. and Mrs. Hughie Bogue enjoyed the Thanksgiving holidays by camping out in Franklin County deer hunting. Both killed a deer.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Doss and family spent the holidays in Sulphur Springs visiting his mother, Mrs. Roy Doss. The First Baptist Church is holding their annual Week of Prayer for the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for Foreign Missions.

and Mrs. Wayne Speir of Austin. Mr. and Mrs. Will Beavers and Virgil Beavers of Irving visited here during Thanksgiving.

Mr. and Mrs. Youngblood and children of Enid Oklahoma visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Maddox, Olan, Jane, and Mike and Mr.

and Mrs. Duran Youngblood during the holidays. Dan Smith of Dallas spent the week end here with relatives. Mrs. Margaret Ellington returned to her home in Garden City, Saturday after a two months visit with her relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Childress and baby of Dallas spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Childress and other relatives.

Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Martin, Carol, Melba, and Lonnie Thanksgiving were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McKay of Jacksonville.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jordan and baby of Ft. Worth spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs.

B. F. Jordan. They also visited his grandmother, Mrs. W.

L. Palmer who is still seriously ill at Hancock Hospital in Gladewater. Mrs. Tressie Johnson went to Austin Sunday to meet Mrs. Verlie Schourock and daughter, Nancy Claire, who is studying for her master's degree at Texas University.

News was received here last week that Floyd Ellis had died of a heart attack in California where he lived. He was reared in the community. Mr. and Mrs. J.

D. Smith Ronnie, Sally, and Martha, of Colorado City spent Thanksgiving week end with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Smith. Mr.

and Mrs. Leon Alford, Helen, and Terry spent Sunday in Winnsboro where they met relatives from Dallas "for a family Thanksgiving get-together. They also visited her grandmother, Mrs. Kight. Rev.

J. C. Henderson and a group from Glade Creek Church brought the Sunday afternoon devotional and song service at the Nightingale Convalescent Home. of God's Song Meet Is Sunday Gilmer Assembly of God Church's song convention is scheduled to start at 2:15 p.m. this Sunday at the church, announced Harry i Southern.

Community News from CEDAR SPRINGS Open House Set ot Hawkins for New Doctor Big Sandy and Hawkins residents have a new doctor, R. E. Liverman, DO, who opened the Hawkins Osteopathic Clinic last week. He came to the area from Duncanville, near Dallas. An open house honoring Dr.

Liverman and his family will be held Sunday afternoon at the Hawkins clinic. Syrup Mill Located; Two Men Are Charged Deputy Sheriff Avis Ray reports pieces of that syrup mill stolen near Gilmer have been located. They were sold to a Gladewater junk dealer. Two white men have been charged with the theft. In their early 20's, one is still dn jail and the other has posted bond.

L. Andrews, Sr. CEDAR SPRINGS, Nov. 23 Ann Andrews was honored with a pink and blue shower at the home of Mrs. Joseph Reynolds Thursday night.

The refreshment table was overlaid with a pink net trimmed with pink Courteous Convenient Competitive Construction Supply Co. Ph. 834-2534 and blue flowers. Games were played and the honoree was presented a corsage of pink and blue ribbon, net and baby a tl r.
