Visitation was held yesterday at the funeral home. Nelly Gomez BRENTWOOD Nelly Gomez, 77, died Sept. 17, at NHC Healthcare of Franklin. Gomez was born in Medellin, Colombia, and was a resident of Brentwood. She was a former operator technician with Monarch Luggage in Brooklyn, N.Y., and a member of the Catholic church.

She is survived by brothers Ariel and Jairo Gomez, both of Medellin; sisters Amparo Gomez and Leonor Gomez, both of Brentwood and Maruja Ortiz of Medellin; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial mass was held Sept. 22 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Edward Alberts as celebrant. Corinne Collins Slayton FRANKLIN Corinne Collins Slayton, 56, died Friday at Williamson Medical Center. She was born in Nashville and was a Franklin resident.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of David Lipscomb College. She was a member of Millview Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Ed Slayton, Franklin; sons Mark Slayton, Greensboro, N.C., and Michael Slayton, Nashville; parents Willard and Ruth Collins, Nashville; sister Carole De Monbreun, Norcross, and granddaughter Lauren Slayton, Greensboro, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Millview Church of Christ with Dr.

Carol McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation was held yesterday at the funeral home. Robert Edward Galloway BRENTWOOD Robert Edward Galloway, 57, died Sunday at a local infirmary.

Galloway, who worked as a commodity and grains broker, is survived by his wife, Minnie J. Galloway, Brentwood; mother, Virginia E. Galloway, Brentwood; sister, Barbara Galloway, Brentwood; daughters Mellisa Winnick, Fort Lauderdale, Kara Galloway, LaFayette, Mellisa Eller, Greenbrier, son, Jeff Galloway, Paris, and five grandchildren. His remains are at the Brentwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. tomorrow.

Harper was born in Horse Cave, and was a longtime Franklin resident.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Harper was a former partner and funeral director with Franklin Memorial Chapel since 1947. He was a member of Franklin Noon Rotary Club, Hiram Lodge Al Menah Shrine Temple and past member of Tennessee Funeral Directors Association. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Franklin.

Survivors include his wife, Helen J. Harper, Franklin; sons Truman E. Harper Dallas, and John W. Harper Sr. and wife Ginny of Franklin; brother, James Harper of Pinson, grandsons John Harper Jr.

and Michael Harper, both of Franklin, and Andrew Harper, Dallas; and a granddaughter, Laurel Harper, Garland, Texas. Funeral services were hold yesterday at Franklin Memorial Chapel. The burial followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday.

Williams COLLEGE GROVE Charles B. Williams, 73, died Friday at Nashville Memorial Hospital. Williams was born in Knoxville and was a resident of College Grove. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a self-employed contractor with Williams Construction.

After his retirement, he carried papers for The Tennessean for 10 years in Franklin and Brentwood. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Williams, College Grove; sons Charles R. Williams and wife Wanda of Franklin, Danny Williams and wife Tina, Santa Fe, Scott Williams and wife Kay, Franklin; daughters Suzanne Pratt and husband Merrill of Birmingham, and Patty Williams Knox, brother James Albert Williams, Knoxville; Police blotter SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT: Marvin Ellis North, 39, was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with assault. Bond was set at $1,000 and an October 2 court date was set.

William Brooks Alexander, 23, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with probation violation. Bond was not set. No court date was set. Randall Phillip Baker, 46, was arrested Sept.

19 on a capias warrant (failure to appear). Bond was not set. No court date was set. Jarvis Octavius Young, 26, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with failure to appear (driving on a suspended license).

Bond was set at $1500 and a September 26 court date was set. Jesse Wayne Stevens, 29, was arrested Sept. 19 and charged with failure to appear. Bond was $250 (cash) and a September 28 court date was set. Stevens made bond and was released Sept.

Jesse Ray Arms, 18, was taken into custody Sept. 19 after being convicted of simple possession and resisting arrest. Arms is to serve 2 days. Michael Malone, 33, was taken into custody Sept. 19 after being convicted of criminal trespassing and public intoxication.

Malone is to serve 90 days. John King, 48, was taken into custody Sept. 19 after being convicted of DUI (second charge) and driving on a revoked license (second charge). King is to serve 90 days. Daniel Eugene Pewitt, 35, was taken into custody Sept.

19 after being convicted of probation violation (simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia). Pewitt is to serve 11 months and 29 days. Francisco Hemandez Sosa, 43, was taken into custody Sept. 19 after being convicted of DUI. Sosa is to serve 7 days.

Esteban Enrique Fabela, 29, was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving on a suspended license and violation of light law. Bond was set at $250 (cash) and an October 1 court date was set. Jessica Elizabeth Reeder, 22, was arrested Wednesday charged with felony possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $5000 (professional). No court date was set.

Rofer Rinke, 40, was arrested Wednesday and charged with DUI, violation of drivers license law and violation of helmet law. Bond was set at $1150 (cash) and an October 2 court date was set. Rinke made bond and was released Tuesday. Benjamin Harrison Scaff, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with probation violation. Bond was set at $3000 (professional) and a September 26 court date was set.
