THURSDAY. APRIL 21, 1932. THE CURRENT LOCAL, VAN BUREN, MISSOURI REWARD STOCK HOLDER'S MEETING FOR THE RAILROAD The Current Local experience was valuable. His report was one of the most complete of the hundreds turned In and there isn't a misspelled word in his story which contains such words as "inspiration," "interval," and "decreased." More than we can say for some high school seniors. We'll say there's more than a "probability" the Dawson family will be represented among the winners in our League work this year.

Someday sometime our eyes shall te thee, dear one, held in mem-cry; sometime up there we will clasp your hand over in the Glory Land. DESSIE MILLER. 2 Mr. Editor and Taxpayers; If we, as a people, don't try and hold our railroad what will become of our schools.

Our law makers should take steps to make the busses and trucks pay taxes in each county they run through, just as the trains do, and if they tfo the hauling they should pay the taxes to the counties. If the railroads ran through without paying taxes I would say give the work to the busses and trucks. We are all people and should be served alike, so let us hold to our railroad and work towards that point. D. J.
