By JIM BEAM KINDER- A decided weight advantage and a halfback named Petle Adams proved too much for the Kinder Yellow Jackets hero Friday night as the Ridgewood Golden Eagles grabbed the state Class title over the host eleven, 20-7, Temperatures around the 29 mark and a rain-soaked field added to the Jackets' miseries as they fought valiantly, but failed to stem the gigantic Eagle tide. The hosts were seeking their 18th victory this season and wouldn't you know it, the number held true to Its reputation of being unlucky. Ridge wood accomplished quite a feat in the victory, scoring more points on the field than have been scored here all year against the Jackets, Only six points by Welsh were chalked up on the Jacket field this year prior to the championship encounter, Adams and quarterback Butch Roussel battled faithfully to share the honors for tho new Class champs, Adams gained 134 yards net on 24 carries while versatile Roussel picked up 103 net on 19 totes, The well oiled attack of Ridgewood was evident from the very beginning although the Yellow Jackets did a masterful Job stopping the visitors' assault in the second half.

After returning the opening klckoff to Us 25, Ridgewood moved 75 yards in 13 plays for the first score. Everyone shared the carrying honors, but It was little Ken Lyles who took it over from the two. Terry Shirley and Bobby Hernandez were the big scorers for DeRidder. Shirley hit the nets for 21 markers on 10 field goals and eight charity tosses.
