The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Willis Cullen Nowell and the late Dr. Willis Cullen Nowell. Both her father and her stepfather gave the bride in marriage. The bride wore an a-line, Italian lace dress designed by Tomasina.

The strapless fitted bodice, featured hand sewn pearls and Swarovski crystals from head to toe. Her veil consisted of Italian lace and sprinkled with crystals on the trim. The bride carried a hand gathered round bouquet of white roses and stephanotis in a silver bouquet vase. The mother of the bride, Mrs. David Franklin Clark wore a chocolate brown two-piece, silk chiffon gown.

The mother of the groom, Mrs. Willis Cullen Nowell, wore a cream colored satin dress. The bridesmaids wore black, Vera Wang evening gowns made of silk chiffon. Each carried: a small bouquet of autumn colored roses. Hayden Crabtree, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jenny Nena Adams, Christine Case, Sloan Spaulding, Ashley Leonard and Beth Valentine. The flower girl was Currie Nowell, daughter of the groom. Willis Nowell, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Chris Tompkins, Aubrey Parker, John Winston, Harry Moneypenny, Chris Kincade, Hunter West, Jason Ritchason and Matthew Gardner. The ring-bearer was Cullen Nowell, nephew of the groom.

Sally Gibbs, cousin of the bride, gave inspirational Scripture readings. Caroline Kay, friend of both the bride and groom was in charge of the wedding programs. The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. W.J. Davis, Sr.

of Columbia and the late Mr. W.J. Davis, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs.

Jesse Melvin Crabtree, II and Mr. Franklin Graham Clark. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Cullen Nowell and the late Mr.

and Mrs. Ted Welch. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. David Franklin Clark hosted a reception for the wedding guests at Cheekwood's Botanic Hall.
