Batchelor, Rick Nowell, Crabtree i I I Melissa Batchelor, Wade Rick Melissa Anne Batchelor and Jonathan Wade Rick will be married December 13, 2003. She is the daughter of Susie and Dale Batchelor, and he is the son of Emmie and Stephen Rick. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Batchelor of Brentwood and the late Roy Batchelor and Mr. Robert Rawlings and the late Marie Rawlings.A graduate of Harpeth Hall School, she received a Bachelor of Arts at Rhodes College.

She is employed by The Oak Hill School. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. John Rick of Bloomfield, and Mr. and Mrs.

Walter Robinson. A graduate of McCallie School, he received a Bachelor of Landscape architecture at Mississippi State University. He is employed by Southern Land Company. Fulghum, Burns Starling Davis Crabtree Starling Davis Crabtree and George Bradley Nowell were married November 22, 2003, at Scarritt Bennett Church, with Reverend Stuart Latimer, Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Franklin Clark, and Mr. David Richard Crabtree, of Raleigh, North Carolina. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs.

Willis Cullen Nowell and the late Dr. Willis Cullen Nowell. Both her father and her stepfather gave the bride in marriage. The bride wore an a-line, Italian lace dress designed byTomasina.The strapless fitted bodice, featured hand sewn pearls and Swarovski crystals from head to toe. Her veil consisted of Italian bee and sprinkled with crystals on the trim.

The bride carried a hand gathered round bouquet of white roses and stephan-otis in a silver bouquet vase. The mother of the bride, Mrs. David Franklin Clark wore a chocolate brown tvw-piece, silk chiffon gown. The mother of the groom, Mrs. Willis Cullen Nowell, wore a cream colored satin dress.

The bridesmaids wore black, Vera Wang evening gowns made of silk chiffon. Each carried a small bouquet of autumn colored roses. Hayden Crabtree, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Wray, Bonnie Brockman, Jackie Nyugen, Nena Adams, Christine Case, Sloan Spaulding, Ashley Leonard and Beth Valentine. The flower girl was Currie Nowell, daughter of the groom.

Willis Nowell, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Chris Tompkins, Aubrey Parker, John Winston, Harry Moneypenny, Chris Kincade, Hunter West, Jason Ritchason and Matthew Gardner. The ring-bearer was Cullen Nowell, nephew of the groom. Sally Gibbs, cousin of the bride, gave inspirational Scripture readings. Caroline Kay, friend of both the bride and groom was in charge of the wedding programs.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. WJ. Davis, Sr. of Columbia and the late Mr. W.J.

Davis, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Melvin Crabtree, II and Mr. Franklin Graham Clark.

The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Cullen Nowell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ted Welch.

Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. David Franklin Clark hosted a reception for the wedding guests at Cheekwood's Botanic Hall. After a night of dinner and dancing, the bride and groom were swept away to a relaxing honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. Jennifer Fulghum, Tyler Burns Jennifer Paige Fulghum and John Tyler Burns, both of Smyrna, will be married January 10, 2004.

She is the daughter of Robert and Karen Fulghum of Franklin, and he is the son of John and Connie Burns of Harvest, Ala. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joyce P. Shaddix and the late W.H. Shaddix and Mr.

and Mrs. Edward M. Fulghum of Bolivar, Term. A graduate of Franklin High School and a summa cum laude graduate of Auburn University, she is an Assistant Producer at Turner Network Television. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Martha Sinyard McMurry of Huntsville, and the late C.J.

McMurry and Jane Kendall Burns of Huntsville and the late Carey Burns.
