Wa Move Tho Furniture 1 Woman Finds Horses, But Not Owners By CYNTHIA FLO YD When a Nashville woman took in two lost horses Monday night she had no idea she would still be searching for their owner three days later.

Now Mary Pillow Kirk, who lives in Hillsboro Park just off Hillsboro Road, says she just wants to find someone to take the "two extra mouths to feed" off her hands. "I put them up thinking the owner would show up for them Kirk said. "I'U know better next time," Kirk began caring for the wandering palomino geldings after a neighbor called her to tell her that a Metro policeman had helped round them up between Kingsbury Drive and Hillsboro Road. Kirk inquired in her neighborhood "and beyond" for someone with information about the horses, she said. She also notified the Humane Association and placed advertisements on local radio stations.

After three days of searching, Kirk said she is no longer very concerned about finding the horses' owner she just wants to find someone to give the horses a home. "At this point I'll give them to anybody," she said. The Humane Association has no way to take the horses because it does not have stalls at its facilities at 112 Harding Place, but officials there did offer to notify Kirk if they found out about anyone who might want the animals. Anyone interested in taking the horses or who has information about the animals' owner should call Kirk at 373-4660. BONANZA Only a handful of employees were reported to be working at the plant site at the time of the explosion.
