Julie Jacks, 26, the department's rookie of the year for 2001, was shot about 1:15 p.m. in an east Chattanooga Parkridge Hospital, Chief Jimresidential neighborhood, near mie Dotson said. Dotson said a suspect was taken into custody. The suspect's name was not immediately released.

2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on December 29, 1926, the son of late Henry J. and Mary (Newman) Thrasher. He founded Thrasher Insurance Company in 1958. received his BS degree from Tennessee Tech University.

He served in the Korean Conflict, U.S. Army: VFW Post Commander; Chairman of Putnam County Democratic Party and still very active; past member of County Court: member of Jaycees: TSSAA football official for many years and many other civic affairs. He was a member of Willow Ave. Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, preceded in death by brother, Howard D.

Thrasher. Services will be from Chapel-Whitson Funeral Home on Wednesday. May 8. 2002, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery.
