Laguna Beach, CA Nashville.TN FOWLER, Corinne Newton-Age 50. Of Laguna Beach, CA, formerly of Nashville, TN, died of lung cancer on October 10, 2003 at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. Ms. Fowler was an animal rights activist and philanthropist. Prior to moving to Laguna Beach, CA in 1986, Ms.

Fowler lived in Scottsdale, AZ where she was associated with Period Gallery West and began her involvement in behavioral studies with chimpanzees at the Primate Foundation. In Laguna Beach she participated in the rescue and nurturing of seals and sea lions at the Friends of the Sea Lion Marine Mammal Center and was a leader in the House Rabbit Society. She is survived by her loving husband, Rick Linger; parents, Halle and James Fowler of Nashville, TN; sister, Happy Fowler; brother, Jim Fowler; niece, Halle Hayes; and nephews, Michael Hayes, James and Landon Fowler.
