The event is coinciding with the Robertson family reunion this weekend. Known as "The Father of Tennessee," Robertson was born 259 years ago this week, and his grave is among the 2,500 marked at the cemetery. "Many people will show up to find out if they have ancestors there," said Fletch Coke, a board member of the cemetery association. "We will have books there" to assist them.

Gary had many interests in addition to his art. He was an avid tennis player, sports fan, computer student, and pet lover. For fifteen years, Gary had worked in Nashville catering to the tourists visiting Music Row.

She died in the same room where she was born almost eighty-four years ago. Cummings, Ill. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Noble E. Cummings, and mother, Minnie Clark Waller Cummings; sisters, Hallie Cummings Uffelman (Tom), Joella Cummings Towns (Cordell), Georgia Mai Cummings Luster (Delmar); brother, Noble E.

Cummings, Jr. (Virginia Buchanan Cummings); niece, Genevieve Buckman Horton, Los Altos, CA. She was employed in the office of the District Engineer, U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, Nashville, for over fifty years, and sang in the choir of First Baptist Church, Nashville, for almost as long.

During World War she served in Washington, D.C. with the United States Women's Marine Corps, Aviation. Visitation with family and friends at Cole Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, will be on her 84th birthday Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 11 a.m., with Memorial service beginning at 1 p.m., conducted by the Reverend Dr. Rus Roach, Assistant Pastor, of First Baptist Church, Nashville, and Thelma's grandnephew, the Reverend Don Terry of Neeley's Bend United Methodist Church. Services will be followed immediately by burial of her ashes in the Cummings family graveyard overlooking her home.
