Neel, who served as dean of UT's College of SUNDQUIST Business before becoming SUNDQUIST finance commissioner last June, has said he planned to return to the university after Sundquist's term ends next year. E-mails released last week by the university raised questions about Gilley's relationship with another UT administrator, Pamela Reed, who resigned in lieu of termination last week after an audit found she had misrepresented her credentials. In the e-mails, Reed professed her love for Gilley, although Gilley did not use similar language i in his responses to her e- mails. Sundquist said he thought Eli Fly was doing a good job as interim president, but added that the settlement of a lawsuit to desegregate Tennessee's public supported universities does not allow UT to have an interim president for a long period of time. employment under Gilley's control. Such reviews are nothing unusual and are routinely conducted after presidents step down, Hayes said.

Neither Gilley, Reed nor Reed's attorney returned phone calls yesterday. Reed was hired by the university in May 2000 as assistant director of the Health Science Center in Memphis, later working in Knoxville to help secure federal grants. and Thursday night's holdup of the Tabouli Restaurant, 2015 Belmont police said yesterday. Detectives were trying yesterday to identify a second suspect, the gunman, in the Boscos robbery, police spokesman Don Aaron said in a news release. According to the arrest warrant, Huddleston walked into the Tabouli restaurant at about 10 p.m. with a bandanna and pantyhose covering his face. No weapon was seen, Aaron said.

Huddleston allegedly demanded money from an employee, but as the money was being handed over, the restaurant manager saw what was happening and chased Huddleston from the building. The manager, who police did not identify, caught the suspect in a nearby apartment stairwell and held him until police arrived. In fleeing, Huddleston jumped from an embankment and fell, injuring his shoulder, Aaron said. Huddleston was admitted to Metro General Hospital, where he told detectives James Warren and Wil Nesbitt that he committed both robberies because he needed money for drugs.
