OXFORD-TP FARMER, JOHN SCHNELL, DEAD John Philip Schnell, well-known farmer of Oxford-tp, passed away at! the family residence at 1:10 o'clock Thursday morning, aged 57 years, 1 month and 19 days. He is survived, by his widow, three sons, Walter, Russell and Earl, four daughters, i Elsie, Lillian, Gertrude and Irene Schnell, all of Oxford; six brothers, Charles, Philip and Henry Schnell, of Oxford, George of Milan and wig and Gustav Schnell of Huron; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Behrens of Huron, Mrs. Henry Husted of Av- eiy, and Mrs. Chas.

Weilnau and Mrs. Emory Spose of Dundee, Mich. Funeral services will be-held a the residence Friday at 2 p. pri- vate, the Rev. W.

Ditzer of Dayton is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. R. Hellar. Little Betty Hunter is quite ill with pneumonia at the Amherst hospital i where she was taken Tuesday, but her condition is reported to be as good as can be expected.

A large number of the Vermilion Fire department members attended the regular monthly meeting Tuesdaj evening. Atter the business session a fish fry was enoyed.
