Antioch is responsible for Overton's only loss. Dupont's girls pulled off one of the biggest wins in their softball history yesterday, downing tradition-rich Madison 4-3. All-around athlete Cheryl Elliott provided the winning hit, driving in two runs in the sixth. Soph omore Tracy Flatt's play at third base helped hold off a Madison rally.

Jeannie Cole pitched David Lipscomb past Ezell-Harding 10-3; McGavock's girls stormed past Whites Creek 6-3, and Hillwood whipped Hillsboro 18-1 on a Rhonda Gray two-hitter. In baseball action yesterday, Tommy Randolph scattered five hits to lead McGavock by District 12-AAA foe Madison 4-1. The Raiders upped their record to 16-3 behind the hitting performance of catcher Cam Hazen. Glencliff shocked Hillwood 11-0 in 11-AAA as Sonny Marchinak struck out 11 batters in a five-hit effort. Teammate Kenny Mathis blasted a three-run homer.

WITH THE Bobkittens leading 3-0 and Seifert having given up only one hit, the Glencliff Lady Colts took advantage of a short lapse by the Overton senior in the fourth inning. Kathy King ripped a two RBI single, scoring Karen Smith and Tammy Reed-er, both who had walked. But, when tested by slugger Dee Ann Davis, Seifert was able to make Davis fly out to leftfield as the Bobkitten worked her way out of the jam. GLENCLIFF again challenged Overton in the fifth after the Lady Colts turned an inspiring double play to oust Overton's Beth Stanfield and Ballinger. Colt pitcher Thurman hit first baseman Patti Cunningham for the first out, and Cunningham threw to catcher Reeder who ran down Ballinger.

Overton's Harris added an insurance run in the sixth to score Cundall. Antioch's girls bombed Father Ryan 24-4 yesterday as last year's Tennessean Player of the Robin Whitaker, continued her superb pitching, adding a one-hitter to her record. By CINDY SMITH Despite tornado-like winds which threatened to blow participants and spectators to the land of Oz, Gay Seifert fashioned a three-hitter to pace Overton past Glencliff 4-2 in softball yesterday. "Everytime I'd pitch, the wind would make the ball rise up right as it crossed the plate," said Seifert (5-1) who came within one of hurling a perfect game Tuesday. IN THE District 11-AAA congest at Whitfield Park, Overton, now 7-1, jumped on the scoreboard in the second inning as Hale doubled to right, Jtf niging home Cindy Ballinger ho had walked to lead off the inn-ing.

l-lSophomore Lori Harris fol-JljWed Hale's double with a bunt which tricked Glen-ciiff pitcher Lisa Thurman who hesitated just long enough to Overton's Kelly Cundall to under the catcher and slide home. Overton added another run in third as Seifert came home ion a Glencliff error. 84 each each BCJCiJ 38" WhiteBrass 1 38" WhiteBrass HERITAGE CEILING FAN 52" Antique Brass wlight MARCO POLO 7 year limited warranty natural hardwood cant blades variable speed control U.L. listed. 52" Antique Brass HF1052 5 Blade HEIRLOOM 52" White or Brown Original HUNTER CEILING FAN Symbol of excellence and quiet elegance.
