Mighty Oklahoma Whips Iowa State Morehouse Topples Fisk By GALE B. ROBINETTE The Morehouse College Maroon Tigers rode north from Atlanta yesterday to defeat Fisk University 21-6 in the Bulldogs' homecoming game.

It was the Bulldogs' first game at Fisk Stadium this year but there seemed to be no advantage to playing on their home turf as Fisk lost their fifth game in as many attempts this season. 1 Morehouse College, a larger, more experienced ball club than Fisk, used a polished running offense to move the ball against a freshman-laden Bulldog defense. The Fisk offense sparked early in the game when speedster split end Lawrence Blackmon scored the Bulldogs' only touchdown on a 16-yard pass from quarterback Mike Stiner just minutes into the first quarter. The Maroon Tigers soon retaliated when quar terback Art Williams, substituting for injured Greg Jones, drove the Tigers 70 yards to the Bulldogs' one yard line midway through the first quarter. Williams then put the Tigers on the board when he scored Morehouse's first TD on a well-executed quarterback sneak.

The Tigers liked the feeling of the Fisk end zone and were soon back in it when tailback Roger Kelley broke through Fisk's defensive wall to score the Tigers' second TD. Billy Walker toe-tapped a perfect field goal after each Morehouse touchdown and the Bulldogs found themselves down 14-6 at halftime. The first-quarter TD by the Bulldogs was the only spark the Fisk offense was able to show to the 5,000 who attended the homecoming match. By halftime, the Tigers had stolen three of Stiner's passes and the Bulldogs had been penalized seven times, three times for personal fouls, a loss of 43 yards. Fisk suffered another setback in the first half when quarterback Stiner was injured and rushed to Baptist Hospital.

He was later released, however, suffering from a badly-bruised hip. Blackmon was moved from split end to fill in for Stiner luring the remainder of the game. The Fisk defense held a tight reign on the Tigers in the second half, restrictingKelley, who carried 15 times for 85 yards in the first half, to a humble 29 yards in the last two quarters. Tiger quarterback Williams found the only hole in the Bulldogs' defense in the second half, when late in the third quarter, he dodged Fisk defensive linemen to score Morehouse's third and final TD. The Bulldogs completed 13 of 30 passes for 137 yards.

Blackmon caught four passes for 63 yards and running back Roosevelt Holiday grabbed one pass for 21 yards. Bulldog defensive back Henry Madkins stacked up 43 yards rushing to lead Fisk. The Tigers' stats were a bit more impressive, however, with 276 total yards rushing. Morehouse's fleet-footed tailback Greg Kelly claimed 114 of that total. Morehouse College, now 3-3, was awarded the coveted Chase Trophy for the third consecutive year.

The touchdowns gave Baylor a 7-0 lead 29 seconds into the game and the Bears never trailed after that.
