THE DATES for the event will be Feb. 20-23 with THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN asain beinp; the sponsor. Only one change was made in the tourney setup for next year. The two afternoon sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will qet under way at 1:30 p.m.

instead of 2 p.m. with the second qame slated for 3:30 instead of 4 p.m. This was clone to allow more time between the afternoon and nieht sessions. The nitht sessions will still betrin at 7 p.m. with the finale gettinc under way at 9 o'clock.

and Catherine Burton Young. He married Effie Bovd in 1902. After her death in 1941, he came to Nashville to live with a daughter, Mrs ELsle Young Phillips. 3420 Benham Ave. SINCE RETIRING several years ago from the office of the paymaster of Tennessee Central Railway, he had lived at Lakeshore Church of Christ Home for the Aged, 832 Grove Ave.

Just before 1900. Young, with two associates, organized the Gainesboro Telephone Company at Sparta. With the exception of the S. Hayden Young Former telephone executive Bell system, it grew to be the largest independent telephone com pany in the Southeast. In 1910 the company moved to Cookeville and Young served as secretary-treasurer there 29 year.

He retired from the company In 1927 and worked for an insurance agency in Cookeville and held an editorial position with the Putnam County Herald. YOUNG WAS a member of Hills boro Church of Christ. He a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He is survived bv two daughters. Mrs.

Before his retirement 10 years ago, Cummins taught vocational agriculture to G.I. training units in the Joelton area, and at high schools in Sweetwater and Mc-Ewen, Tenn. At one time he was principal of high schools in Robertson and Sumner counties. Cummins, a veteran of World War served in the Army in 1918-19.
