Memory tributes may be shared with the family at Mr. Spencer "Mc" Rogers Spencer McMath "Mc" Rogers, 91, husband of the late Martha Scott Rogers, and a lifelong resident of his cherished Onancock, commenced his inseparable union with his much beloved wife and his God, Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Born July 29, 1922, he was the only child of the late Spencer Finney Rogers and Helen LeCato McMath Rogers. After graduation from Onancock High School in 1939, Mc was graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with WT a Bachelor catch 'the big Mc was affectionately accused of 'fishing for a living, and surveying as a Mc is survived by two children, Spencer McMath "Penny" Rogers Jr. and wife, Carol, of Wilmington, N.C., and Temple Rogers Richardson and husband, Rick, of Richmond, three grandchildren, Morgan McMath Rogers, Shawn Thomas Richardson and wife, Heather, and Sara Temple Pierce and husband, Zechariah; three great-grandchildren, Spencer James Richardson, Keelin Noelle Pierce and Henry Graydon Pierce; two sisters-in-law, Harriet Scott Brocken-brough of Mechanics-ville, and Jean Tankard Scott of Onancock; and five nephews.

In addition to his loving wife of almost 68 years, and his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Benjamin Willard Brocken-brough and James "Holland" Scott Jr. A memorial service was conducted from the Market Street United Methodist Church, Saturday, May 17, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Robert M. Chapman II and the Rev. G.

Wayne Parsley officiating. Private interment with Masonic Rites was held at the Onancock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Market Street United Methodist Church, 75 Market Street, Onancock, Va. 23417. Memory tributes may be shared with the family at ber of Forest Road United Methodist Church.

Also left to cherish his memory are two sons, David Widgeon and his wife, Angela, and their son Benjamin Guy of Christians-burg, and Matt Widgeon of Roanoke; two sisters, Patricia and husband Jimmy, and Connie and husband William, all of Painter; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and his beloved dog, Rusty. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18, at Forest Road United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Price and the Rev. Vernie Barrow officiating. Interment was in Virginia Memorial Park Monday, May 19, at 10a.m.

Born in New Church, Ms. Wise was the daughter of the late Grace Bonneville. She was a senior staff assistant at the Federal Reserve. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, New Church.

A funeral service was held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Atlantic, on Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harvey Davis Sr. officiated. Interment was in Mt.

Sinai Cemetery, Wardtown. Ms. Wise is survived by her sisters, Coretta Marshall and Tammie Fletcher; brothers, Antonio Fletcher, Garrette, Edward, Darryl, Dexter and Harry Wise step-father, Harry Wise and her pet, Princess. Mr. Kenneth W.

Ainsworth Jr. Kenneth Whitmal "K.W." Ainsworth 52, husband of Angela Ainsworth, and a resident of Horsey, passed day, May 15, 2014, atRiv-9 erside Kenneth W. Shore Me-Ainsworth morial Hos-Jr. pital in Nas- sawadox. Born July 8, 1961, in Nassawadox, he was the son of Brenda Drummond Peffer (and husband David) of Melfa, and the late Kenneth W.

Ainsworth Sr. K.W. was self-employed, as owneroperator of Coastal Business Resources (CBR); was a member of Modest Town Baptist Church since childhood; served his country in the United States Navy, and was a disabled veteran; was a member of the Lion's Club; and was a charter member of the Eastern Shore Disabled American Veterans. K.W. was extremely active in fire and rescue companies, and many related auxiliary services on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, including the following: Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company, Past Chief; Atlantic Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Past Assistant Chief; NASA Wallops Flight Facility Fire Department, Past Chief; Eastern Shore Regional Hazmat Team, member and Hazardous Material Technician; Eastern Shore Regional Fire Training Center, member and instructor; and member of the Accomack County Fire and Rescue Commission.

In addition to his wife, mother and stepfather, survivors include his children, Tracey Rivera (and husband Jose), and Julis-sa Ainsworth, all of Horsey; two brothers, Keith Drummond Ainsworth of Crystal Beach, Texas, and L. Brent Hart and wife, JoLynn, of Onley; two grandchildren, Caleb Fuller and Joselynn Rivera; a 'special' niece and nephew, Sahra Linton and Luke Leiss; niece, Crystal Churchill and husband Scott; sister-in-law, Kim Reeder; step-grandmother, Ruth Lee Drummond; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. David J. Widgeon Jr. With pic After a long illness, David Jennings Widgeon 69, of Goode, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Jane Johnson Widgeon for 44 years. Born Dec.

7, 1944, in Nassawadox, he was the son of Annette Custis Widgeon and the late David Jennings Widgeon Sr. David was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Limitorque Flowserve Corporation after 43 years. David enjoyed running his own lawn service for 24 years.

He was a longtime mem rl of Science 1 deeree in Civil Engineering, followed by graduate studies in structural design. His Spencer M. Rogers studies at Virginia Tech were briefly interrupted, as Mc served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Civil Engineer and Surveyor. In 1970, he began working with the Virginia Marine Resource Commission (VMRC), eventually retiring as their Chief Engineer.

Mc's line of work kept him out-of-doors something he greatly treasured and enjoyed. On July 16, 1948, Mc was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Chesapeake Masonic Lodge 158, A.F. A.M., and thus began a longtime commitment and dedication to Freemasonry. Among other ways, he served this Lodge as Treasurer, and Worshipful Master in 1953. In 1981, Mc held the highest office in the Freemason fraternity in the state, Grand Master of Masons, Grand Lodge of Virginia, A.F.

A.M. For that year, he coined the slogan "We'll have FUN in eighty-ONE!" Other highlights and memberships of his Freemason involvements include: Jewel Royal Arch Chapter 49, past District Deputy Grand High Priest, past High Priest, past Treasurer; Malta Commandery 24, Past Commander; Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, 32ndDegree Knight Commander Court; and Khedive Temple in Norfolk. Mc was extremely active in his community, including a lifelong dedicated membership in the Market Street United Methodist Church, serving in many capacities throughout the years. One article, written about Mc and published in the Eastern Shore News, ended with a quote by him, "When the wind doesn't blow, I am fishing." He did love and enjoy that time on his boat, "Jingle Bells," and perpetually trying to Williams Arrangements by the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home. Mr.

Dickie Gibbons Sr. Dickie Gibbons 80, husband of Melison Gibbons and a resident of Bloxom, passed away at his residence, Thursday, May 15, 2014. Born April 20, 1934, in Southside Chesconnes-sex, he was a son of the late John Braden Gibbons and Myrtle Spence Gibbons. Dickie was a retired waterman, and a United Methodist. In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Deborah Sharon Bagwell (and husband Snookie), of Bloxom, Richard Thomas Gibbons Jr.

(and wife Charlotte Lisa) of Gargatha, and Lisa Lynn Fitchett (and Perry Sharpley) of Stockton, a sister, Lois Ann Mears of Onancock; two brothers, Edward Gibbons of Melfa, and Johnny Gibbons of Bloxom; five grandchildren, Michael, Tommy, Angela, Sidney and Justin; six greatgrandchildren, Will, Chris, Scarlette, Elizabeth, Madison and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home, Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Freddie Ward officiating. Interment followed in the Groton's Cemetery. Methodist Church will be selling grilled chicken lunches on Friday, May 23, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunches are $8 and include grilled chicken, pork and beans, cole slaw and a roll. Thornton H. Secor Jr. Thornton H. "Whitey" Secor 80, husband of Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Secor, and a resident of Atlantic, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at his residence. Born Aug.

25, 1933, in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., he was the son of the late Thornton H. and Florence Secor. Whitey graduated high school in Dobbs Ferry, and college at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Agronomy. He was selected into Alpha Zeta, an honorary Ag fraternity. He served two years in the United States Army, at Redstone Arsenal, as a guided missile mechanic, and was once selected as post soldier of 'OOPER XjTUMBLES FUNERAL INC.

The master of the fishing boat Kirsten Lee contacted Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads watchstanders at 11:15 a.m. Saturday stating a crewmember was suffering from chest pain and needed medical attention. Sector watchstanders launched a crew aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina, to assist.
