Visitation: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Witness: Man acted out ritual before injuries Associated Press INDIANAPOLIS Witnesses have told police that a man accused of placing harmful chemicals on a merry-go-round at an Indianapolis playground may have been performing some kind of voodoo ritual. Police have charged Delin Swanigan of Indianapolis in the case, and they believe he was spreading a household drain cleaner.

Fifteen people suffered minor chemical burns after coming into contact with the substance Saturday at Watkins Park. According to court records, a witness said she saw Swanigan circling the park chanting, talking to himself and walking in circles. She said he walked over to a picnic table, where he laid out Polaroid photos, a large plastic bug and several charms, among other items. Then she said the man began to chant and dance around the table while holding a container. Another witness identified Swanigan as the man he saw pouring a powdery substance on the merry round.

The witness said he spun the merry and said an unintellichant while pouring the substance, court records said. Swanigan is being held in lieu of $150,000 bond. A pretrial conference for him is scheduled for Aug. 24..
