"We even got some of the dead-end roads done. A lot of them had been neglected," Waymire said. "I think this raises the morale of the people in town. If you have a nice, pretty, new street, it makes everything look a lot better," Waymire said. Now that the roads have been improved, the council plans to keep them in good condition.

It established a maintenance program within its street department. Road crews will try to head off deteriorations by filling potholes and treating the pavement to avoid cracks. Davis said that since some of the roads may not have been repaved for up to 40 years, the project was "a heck of an accomplishment." The three councilmen established a commission consisting of themselves, six other residents and the town marshal to establish a priority list, Davis said. Monday. Forecast for noon today in my opinion, and I find its readings suspect. This is a major concern to meteorologists nationwide. ASOS is also overseen by the FAA and not the National Weather Service. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer the old-style rain gauge and a live person making the hourly observation.
