Moorman, who played point guard for Doss High School's 1984 and '85 State Tournament teams, has been an assistant coach at Doss the past seven years. He said he did not apply for the head coaching vacancy at Doss when Kevin Salyer's coaching contract was not renewed recently. "I want to coach in college," said Moorman, who also teaches at Doss.

"I want to get out on the road and recruit. I'm single, and I can handle that. My dream is to become a Division I coach."
