(AP) A 5-year-old boy retrieving a ball from his neighbor's yard was mauled and killed by three German shepherds. Gilberto Martinez apparently climbed a fence Tuesday to get into his neighbor's yard and was attacked. He suffered multiple bites and cuts on his head, police said.

A woman saw the dogs fighting over something, walked over to get a closer look and saw the boy. He died three hours later. Animal-control officers took the dogs, which will be held while police investigate the attack, police Capt. Steven Roller said. weeks nett Quinn, 87, died here Thursday.
