TEN THE CORSICANA (TEXAS) DAILY SUN, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 1957 Family Church Eisenhowers Set For Ruction HOPE, Kan. church where President Elsenhower's great-grandfather worshipped will be sold at auction Sept. 14. Bishop Ray I. Witter, a first cousin of the President, made the announcement, adding: "It almost breaks my heart." Bishop Witter is pastor of the Roscbank Brethren in Christ Church, four miles south of Hope.

The church to be sold was built in 1891. The President's great- grandfather, Frederick Eisenhower, moved to Kansas from Pennsylvania in 1879. Regular services were held In the white pine church (40x60 feet) until 1946, and annual conventions of the denomination met there until 1955. It Is 1 1-2 miles from the old Eisenhow- er homestead and 9 1-2 miles north west of Hope. The President's grcat-grandfath er, grandfather, and brother Paul, are burled In te graveyar adjoining the church.
