Evalena Ormand of Bartlett. With the exception of one daughter, Mrs. Belle Glover, all were with their mother at the time of her death. Mrs. Bardin had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for a number of years and lived a devoted and Christian life until her death.

Mrs. Bardin, aunt Mandie to most of her friends, was loved by all who knew her. She was good to her neighbors, visiting the sick and offering her assistance whereever she might be needed, as long as her health would permit. Mr. and Mrs.

Bardin moved to Valley Spring from Lee county in 1883. They first settled on the place where William Talley now lives. Later Mrs. Bardin with her children moved into Valley Spring, where she lived until her death. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Valley Spring Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock by Elder S. N. Redford of the Primitive Baptist Church. Interment was in the Valley Spring cemetery, under the direction of Miles Buttery, Llano undertaker. Pall bearers were: Malcum Jernigan, Van Spinks, Fred Bardin and Garland Ormand.
